Okay guys, I know I literally JUST updated a chapter, but I have not been able to shake this ever since my mom and I discussed this.

So, we were driving to the library for me to get a book. It was like, 7:30, and you know how libraries close at 8, sadly. I originally said that libraries should be open 24/7, and my mom agreed.

But then, the idea bloomed beyond my imagination.

So, this library would open at 8 or 9 at night, and it would close around 7 in the morning, and you wouldn't be allowed entry unless you had on your pajamas and had your library card with you. So you'd enter, and someone would start to make tea of your choice or hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream and whatever else you enjoy.

And you find a comfy beanbag chair and claim it as yours, and you head off to scavenge the shelves for a good book, or go up to the front desk and get that book you were reading the night before, because the books do not leave this library.

And after you have a book and a place to read, you'd go up to the front desk and get your hot beverage, a pillow, and a comfy blanket. Possibly even buy a warm chocolate chip cookie.

And there would be kindles around the library for people who prefer those and forgot theirs.

And you could of course bring in your own books, because this library is not about checking out books, leaving, and returning the books when you finish it.

And any book you have that you didn't really enjoy or any book that you didn't ever read because it didn't appeal to you, you could donate it to this library.

And there would be a special section for aspiring authors, where there would be about ten computers and enough space next to each computer to lay out a journal and write a rough copy on paper, and type it up on the computer. And that library would be the first to read your work, because the library cares about what everyone is doing there and why they are there, may it be they just wanted some time alone to read, or they needed to push away all the haters in their life.

This library is about a place to go when you feel sad and you just want to get lost between the pages of a great book, but the atmosphere at home just isn't what you're looking for.

This is a place where the magic in the books are truly real.

Update:

Also, fandom themed corners! You could come in in fandom pajamas and read or debate the books in the middle of the night, your tea or hot chocolate steaming as you think to yourself, Why has this not been a thing for so long?

(Maybe you won't think that it's just a part of the vision)

And like a children's section, where mothers can take their toddlers to play with book-related toys, after their bedtime, which makes it a million times better for the toddlers.

Oh my god I need someone to help me fund this one day cause this is going to happen somehow.
