Okay.

How long has it been since you created a new world?
- I'm in the ongoing process of creating the Captain Kirt world. It's outlines are done but I'm still nitpicking through the details, like every religion and every island and every sea and all that good stuff.

What sort of magic, if any, is in it?
- Most of my books include magic. I have like only one book that doesn't, and that's Symphony of Umbrellas. Also not giving away whether or not Captain Kirt has it yet, though.

Have you ever invented a language for your world?
- Sort of! I go into google translate for Captain Kirt and for certain words, depending on who is saying them (and what their religion is!) I'll put in, say, Latin for the word to be translated to, and tweak the word around a bit. (Latin is the translator for James' religion).

What's the longest excerpt you've written in your invented language?
- Salvalis! Yeah. Hah. Pathetic. But I'm still working on it. I've actually got a phrase in mind that I'm going to translate that James'll say a lot.

What time period does your world resemble?
- All but Captain Kirt and Symphony of Umbrellas are modern day. CK is more of medieval times with the pirates plus a lot of strange advances and stuff. SoU is the 40's.

How long does it normally take you to write this imaginary world?
- Well I've been writing it for a few months now so longer than that!

How good are you at killing off a decent amount of characters?
- Amazing. You guys not likely will hate me in the six months from now when it's published.

Favorite characters from your books and why?
- I love Ettie and Roland from CK because Ettie is fun to write and Roland just... you'll see. ;)   And I also love Mikaela from SotP and Charles and Margaret from SoU, and John from As the World Falls. I just love writing them all. I love em all.

Okay I tag everyone who writes and reads this!

Bye!
