Hey people!
A new chapter for you, and a very big one too! :)
This chapter's song are actually two: "Overdose" by Alessia Cara, and "Fool's Gold" by One Direction. This last one was suggested by a very cool reader of mine. Don't feel sad ok? Sometimes people say things that they didn't think through, and they don't mean it.

I still haven't decided on whether I am changing this story's title or not, but meanwhile, it stays like it is. Oh and I have amazing news! A reader of mine is making a translation of this story into French, so if you prefer to read in French than in English, check out KrystelOuellet 's translation of this story! I am helping her out in parts in which the translation stays weird, so it is the exact same story!

Hope you enjoy this chapter! And thank you so so much for making this reach 1K votes and 18K reads! Thank uuuuu

Enjoy!
Xxx,
Sara

Sadie's POV:
"Princess, lets go?" Shawn calls me, poking his head through the small gap the ajar door left. I nod and sit up from Aaliyah's bed, where I had been attempting to do another musical.ly with her. I end up looking lame, even worse while being beside Aaliyah who did everything like a pro, but I had to admit that even though musical.lys involved cameras, they were fun to do.

"I have to go, I'm sorry." I say, as she looks back at me with a pout.

"Aw." She grunts, and even though the pout was forced, I could tell that she was sad too, just as I was. We were having a lot of fun. "Well, good luck! And put Larissa in her place if that's necessary." She adds, and I chuckle.

"You know I don't have guts for that, but I'll try." I walk towards the door, and just before I exit the room, I give her a quick wave. "See ya!"

When I reach the front door of the house, Shawn is already there waiting for me with his coat on. I quickly say goodbye to my parents who are in the living room with Mr. and Mrs. Mendes, and putting my own coat on, Shawn and I start our way out of the house. The snow crunched under our feet as we walked towards Brian's house, which apparently wasn't far from Shawn's house, our gloved fingers intertwined with each other's. I took in the frosty air that hit my face, which was unfamiliar but pleasant, and I took in the surroundings, the houses we passed by with thick blankets of snow on its roofs and Christmas decorations decorating the front yards. I liked this vibe that Pickering passed me. It was so different from the big city I am used to, where there is always intense traffic jams, compared to here where traffic flowed well. Home and Pickering could very much be polar opposites.

At the same time that I observe everything, I meet Shawn's gaze, who has a smile plastered on his face. "What?" I ask him, not getting his amusement.

"Just the way you are looking at everything. You look like you are lost in Wonderland. That's cute." He answers still with that smile on his face, and I chuckle.

"This snow thing, it's just so new to me. I wished we had this back home." I explain, turning forwards again. We continue walking in silence down the street, and then Shawn guides me to the left, where we cross the road at a zebra crossing. I didn't mind the silence though. Just being here with him made me happy, even if I was about to meet his friends, something that I had been bracing so nervously for.

I bring my hand towards my neck, where I pull out the key necklace which was tucked inside my scarf. Finding it between the folds of the scarf, I give it a little reassuring squeeze, and leave it dangling again around my neck once more. No matter what happened, the rose gold key with the daisy pattern always managed to pass me some sort of comfort and security.
