Give Thanks

Sent as a babe into this world
How was I to know I'm a divine little girl?
"I Am a Child of God" I'd heard from the crib.
I continued to learn it as a primary kid.
I learned other truths too, about prayer and Christ,
About his glorious sacrifice,
About scriptures and the voice of God,
And the plan to get us back where we belong.
As I grew I continued to learn and believe
In the truths I'd learned while upon my knees.
I thank God for the atonement, the Holy Ghost,
The guidance I receive from Him who loves me most.
There are too many things that I've learned to name,
And for all these things I'd like to give thanks.
