I've traveled abroad and come back home
By my experiences I have grown
And guiled by his torturous ways
I've learned what it is to be betrayed
Facing forward, I start my path
Relearning my smile, my joy, my laugh
I've started this journey that once and for all
Will show me who stands after I fall
Who wipes off the dust and rises again
Who adjusts and does things different
Who learns from her mistakes and will not repeat
Whatever brought her to her knees
When I fall and get scrapes and when my body aches
Who is this girl who takes my place
Then looking up at her I see
This girl is actually me
