Hey there

Hey there, it's been awhile
I think I'm doing fine
I finally got away
From that bully husband of mine
I've removed the rose-colored glasses
And the meadow I thought I'd seen
Turned out to be a battle field
Filled with broken dreams
I'd hoped to make things perfect
Between us two once again
But he will never be satisfied
With any mortal woman
So instead I cried and cried
Until I had no more tears
Then I picked myself back up
And left him standing there
I traveled a long ways
To make it back to home
And now I'm fixing bit by bit
What my husband broke
