A few minutes passed, and Macy was in the bathroom, scrubbing the cheese fries/ ketchup off her work shirt. She was crying

"Macy." Selena walked into the bathroom.

She ignored her and kept scrubbing.

Selena sighed and walked over to her and stopped her.

"Would you mind?" Macy smart talked.

"You're overreacting."

Macy looked at her. "How can you say that? Didn't you see what just happened? Bad luck, Selena!" she sobbed.

She didn't say anything.

"Oh my gosh." She stopped what she was doing and placed her hand on her face.

"What now?" She asked.

"I'm tired," she cried.

Selena placed her hand around Macy and comforted her. "It's okay. Come to my house around -"

A phone went off.

"Is that your phone?" Selena asked.

Macy took her phone out, and her eyes widened. "Oh no."

"What?" Selena looked who was calling.

"It's him."

"You gave him your number!" Selena raised her voice.

"I was drunk, Selena."

"Whatever you do, don't answer it."

Macy nodded. "You're right!" She turned her home screen off and took a deep breath.
It rung again.

"Don't answer." Selena grabbed her phone and pushed ignored.

"Keep my phone with you. Let's go back to work."

Selena and Macy walked out of the bathroom and went back to their job.

Later that day, as Selena was working, Macy's phone was going off so many times.
Oh my gosh, Selena was saying to herself.

"You okay?" Macy asked as she walked toward her.

"Your phone is ringing like crazy, Macy!" She raised her voice.

"Turn it off."

Selena raised an eyebrow. "Why didn't I think about that." And with that, her phone stop. "Wait, it stop."

"You think he gave up?" Macy asked.

"Might of." Selena calmed down, and with that, it had gone off. "Ahh! I can't take this any longer." Selena took Macy's phone and answered the call. "WHAT DO YOU WANT?"

"To speak with my daughter," Macy mom said.

Selena felt awkward. "Oh." She handed Macy the phone. "It's your mom."

She grabbed the phone from Selena.
"Hey, mom. I'm at work with Selena. Yeah, yeah. Mom, you know I can't visit you all the way there. Mom, you know I would love to, but I can't. Okay... okay, love you." Macy hung up.

"She wanted you to go to Hawaii?" Selena asked.

Macy nodded. "Yup. She knows that I can't ford the money and plus I just got done with Paris."

"Macy, you haven't seen your parents for six months, and that's bad."

"Like I said, I can't ford it." Macy put her phone in her back pocket.

"And yet you could Ford the Paris trip -"

"Hey, don't start with that. You know I always wanted to see Paris. I'll save up again and maybe I'll go to Hawaii."

Selena didn't say anything.

Macy's phone went off. "That's probably mom. She said she would call me back." Macy answered the phone. "Hey, mom."

"Hey, sweetie," a guy said.

Macy just stood there, not knowing what to say.

"Don't think about hanging up -"

"Please leave me alone." Macy cried.

Selena raised an eyebrow. "Who is that?"

"It's him."

Selena sighed.

"Why are you calling me?" Macy asked.

He laughed. "I wanted to tell you how great last night was."

"Well, thanks for telling me, so bye -"

"No. So that's it, you're just going to leave me hanging?" He asked.

"Yes. Like I said, I'm already taken, and it would be wrong to be with another guy."

He laughed again. "Y'all not really going out, and plus, he's probably with another girl."

"I doubt that. I'm hanging up, so bye!"

"Okay, whatever. But you'll be crawling back to me, baby," he said.

Macy rolled her eyes. "In your dreams." She hung up.

"Wow," Selena said.

Macy looked at Selena. "Can I live with you, Selena. Forever."

"Sure. I need a new roommate."

"Great!" She said excitedly.

Later that night, Selena had gotten ready.
Macy was here, and she was in the bathroom, taking a shower.

Selena was going to tell her about her and Jake hanging out, but she decided she wasn't going to.
The door bell rung and selena grabbed her purse.

"I'm going out to get up some." She paused for a second to think. "Some ice cream."

"Okay! I want chocolate!" She yelled.

Selena went down the stairs and had opened the door, and there stood Jake.

"Wow, you look beautiful."

She smiled. "Thank you. Shall we go?"

"Yes."

Selena shut the door behind her, and they walked off.

"So, where are we going?" Selena asked.

"Serendipity 3. Have you been?" He asked.

"I walked past it, but never been in it before."

He smiled. "Great."

Selena and Jake were sitting at a small table that could fit two people there.
The waitress came with their hot fudge sundae.

"Thank you," Selena told the waitress.
The waitress smiled and walked off.

"I always come here," Jake said.

"So, this is your favorite place."

He nodded. "You know, the word of serendipity has a meaning to it."

"And what's that?" Selena asked as smiling. She was mixing up her fudge sundae with her spoon.

"Finding something beautiful without looking at it."

"You're lying." She smiled bigger.

"No, I'm actually telling the truth. Look it up."

Selena pulled her phone out and looked at the meaning of serendipity.
He was telling the truth.

"Told you," he said.

Selena rolled her eyes.

"And I feel like you're my serendipity," he lightly said.

Selena had chills. Her heart race, and not knowing what to say.
She was speechless.
