A Christmas Special! ❤
The school bell rang and young third grader students started going out their classrooms and off to the open field. No. It wasn't dismissal time but it was time for their RHGP class. The kids were pretty excited at this period of the day because, mostly, RHGP class was always like PE class where there's more fun than education but RHGP is more on educating the attitude and personality of the students.
As the children went out, they were greeted by the low temperature and the snowflakes slowly falling to the ground. Yes. It was snowing and December had just started. The kids had their scarfs and coats on and every other clothes for the winter. They were pretty excited for their activity of the day because, from a week ago, their teacher had told them that she was gonna grade them based on the design and size of any object they could make from the snow.
This was good for the high school lacrosse field was huge and it wasn't used by the lacrosse players at the moment. The teacher had asked permission from the principal for the area. It was still safe cause the kids were assigned only on the safe areas.
In the middle of the field, a young eight-year-old with coffee colored hair, pale skin and caramel colored eyes, moles on some areas of the face with the red nose, puffy lips and open mouth stood leaning against a big snowman twice his size. He was staring at something. Actually, someone. He was staring at a girl. Of course, it was a girl.
She had long strawberry blonde curls, gorgeous emerald green eyes and pale skin. She wore an adorable pink dress underneath her thick purple coat that made it look so big on her. A pale pink winter headgear on her head. She was making herself a snowman. Well, snow-woman cause it looked more like a girl. She sticked a carrot inside the nose area and placed her extra winter beanie on the head. After picking up identical pebbles from the ground, she made them as eyes of her snow-woman. She then backed away a bit looking at her piece of work with pride.
The boy was still staring at her and watching until he felt a light force against the side of his face. He escaped his trance and realized that he had just been hit by a snowball. He looked over to the direction of the impact and saw his best friend with his upper lip touching his nose.
" Stiles, quit staring at Lydia Martin and help me with my snowman! " Scott grumbled.
Stiles huffed. " You're just jealous I made a way bigger snowman before you even finished your small one. " he said smiling with pride as he tapped his snowman before going over and helping his best friend with his unfinished snowman.
Suddenly, they were interrupted when they heard a scream.
Stiles immediately looked and saw Lydia on her butt on the snow sobbing with her now destroyed snowman right on her behind. It looks like someone had hit her and caused her to stumble down on her work. Stiles looked and saw two boys that just passed from Lydia laughing. One was on a ski and the other was pulling two ropes that were attached to it. It looks like they were the ones who hit Lydia from playing with the skis.
Lydia then stood up and ran away to the girls' bathroom crying.
Stiles was gonna go and give them a piece of him but the teacher had just arrived with her recorder notebook.
The teacher was checking the girls' snowman's first.
When it was close to Lydia's name, Stiles started thinking before he got an idea.
He picked up Lydia's name from her destroyed snowman and took his from his own snowman replacing it with Lydia's name. He quickly placed the carrot and beanie on the snowman as well before stepping away from it and stood next to Scott.
Scott saw the whole thing. " What are you doin- "
" Shh. " Stiles stopped him.
The teacher was looking for Lydia but then, the teacher saw Stiles' snowman with Lydia's name on it.
" Wow. Lydia did a job well done. This is an A+. " the teacher smiled and wrote down on her recorder.
" Yes! " Stiles exclaimed quietly for he was happy that Lydia had an A+.
When it was time for Stiles, the teacher creased her eyebrows at the young boy looking down at him. " Stiles. No snowman? "
Stiles was smiling. He openly shook his head. " Nope. No snowman. "
" Well, for this performance, Stiles, I'm giving you zero. " the teacher frowned then wrote down her recorder Stiles' score.
" Alright. Thank you, Miss Flemming. " Stiles said still smiling widely.
The teacher looked at him questionably before proceeding to the next student.
After a while, just right after Flemming finished checking, Lydia came out the bathroom walking to her classmates. She was wiping the wetness off her face. The teacher turned around and saw Lydia. She approached the youngster with a wide grin on the face.
" Lydia, that snowman was a job well done. Congratulations on your A+ score today. " the teacher said before walking off and guiding her students back to their next class.
Lydia was completely puzzled. She was gonna say something until Miss Flemming walked away. Lydia creased her eyebrows and looked at the snowmen seeing that her extra things for her snow-woman had been replaced on an all fixed and much bigger snowman. Lydia was completely dazzled.
Stiles saw Lydia but she didn't even see him. He smiled, anyway. He went back inside with her best friend before Miss Flemming called Lydia's attention to get inside.
Stiles was so happy Lydia got an A+ instead of him.
