I sit and watch the waves roll in,
Contemplating how I'll begin.

The words gone sour, stuck in my throat.
I'm slowly drowning, trying to stay afloat.

My lungs strongly wish to seize,
I sit calm and steadily breathe.

Taking in the salty air,
Entangling through my knotted hair.

Trying to enjoy the ocean view,
But I can't do that when I'm with you.
