"What happened? You were so happy just a minute ago..."
I know, but see, that's the thing about depression, the seemingly everlasting sadness. Sometimes it's like having a running nose when you have the flu. The depression being the flu, the sadness being the running nose. And sometimes you could be doing things which make you somewhat happy, then the runny nose just suddenly hits you. You have no control over when it does or how it does, just like the low sadness. And when it hits, it hits hard, and sometimes you don't have a tissue to help rid of that runny nose, just like how sometimes you don't have anyone or anything to help rid of the sadness. This flu could last days, months, years. But sometimes the best medicine, is to remember that there are people who truly care and will listen.
