"I promise", he began,
"I promise, that I will never
intentionally hurt you, and I
will always try my hardest not
to hurt you at all. If I ever do,
please know I'm sorry and it
was never my intention to do so.
I promise to be there at three in
the morning on the other end of
the phone, or in person, to listen
to all you have to say when your
mind becomes too clouded and you
can't sleep. I promise to be there to
pick you back up when you hit rock
bottom - to help you climb back to
the top. I've seen you at your best,
and I've seen you at your worst;
and darling I am not afraid.
I promise, I am here for good,
I'm here to stay."
