"He glanced at her with a broken smile and a familiar feeling hidden in the deep ocean that thrashed around his pupils; slowly drowning every ounce of happiness he had left.
She had broken him beyond repair, and he still cared for her so much. Too much, as she had told him. She didn't deserve him. He had given her everything, more than what she deserved, and she took advantage of that.
He deserved someone better; and though she reminded him so often, he refused to part from her, reminding her constantly that he didn't want anyone else. Only her.
He was stubborn.. oh so stubborn-all she could do was watch him break slowly and that hurt her even more."
