You slept contently as the birds began to stir and sing their early morning songs amongst the forest of trees.
The soft, orange glow of the sun's rays seeped through your venetian blinds and elegantly kissed your facial features and upper torso.
It was at that point in time where I was so sure I was looking at an angel, as cliche as it sounds - maybe it was the way the golden light moulded around you perfectly, clinging to your figure; or the way your hair was effortlessly a perfect mess. I couldn't help but hopelessly admire how perfect you were, fuelling the thought of how lucky I was to have someone like you here beside me.
You exhaled heavily as you slightly opened your eyes and locked the hazel orbs onto mine, before you gave a sleepy smile and pulled me closer to your chest.
And so, it was in that moment when I realised how much I truly adored you.
