Soon your name became distant.
It no longer gave me butterflies, my cheeks no longer blushed, and I no longer became excited to see you.

I never looked for your face in the crowd, and it no longer stood out from all the blurred out faces of the strangers that had surrounded you.

You had become one of those blurred faces- you had become a stranger. I barely thought of you anymore, and your name became insignificant, yielding no meaning to me.

You had no effect on me anymore. I was finally free, and honestly; I'm happier now than I've ever been.
