Trip to Hogsmeade

Two months have now passed since that night when Fred and George found out about my animagus. The last two months have been a blast. Various different pranks with the twins have kept me busy. We set of some fireworks in the Slytherin common room, giving Draco Malfoy swelling sweets; making his face swell bright red and various other pranks. I got to know Rainey much more over the few months, chatting with her in my dorm at night. Cedric introduced me to a friend of his, Cho Chang and her friend Summer Sands. They are both pleasant Ravenclaw’s. One thing I detest is potions. Snape glides about the class and always stalks me in the corridors. People are starting to question Remus’s lack of attendance during and after a full moon. I tried my best to say he was just ill, but Snape did not help but setting work on werewolves. Anyway despite all that it was now time for the annual Halloween trip to Hogsmeade! Everyone was excited to get our and about. And I was particularly excited about Zonks and that Fred and George was going too. All I had to do was persuade Remus to sign my permission slip. I climbed the stairs to his office and knocked three times.

“Come in” His voice rang from behind the door. I opened the door and it creaked. He looked up from his work, saw it was me and looked down again.

“I was err, wondering about my permission form to Hogsmeade?” I asked holding my breath. I had gone to every last stinking detention with Snape. He made me do awful things, like help Hagrid clear out Buckbeak’s pen. Remus dotted his quill on the desk in front of him and placed it in the ink pot and left it there. He looked up at me and leaned back his hands in front of him interlocked.

“I thought we agreed. As final punishment you will not go to the Halloween visit to Hogsmeade.” He said staring into my eyes.

“But...” I tried to protest.

“You're lucky you weren’t expelled Electra!” He said sternly. He pointed to the door. I walked over to it and placed my hand on the handle.

“Oh yeah one more thing.” I said turning round to face him. “I know this is not the best time but could I get a new broom?” I knew I was taking a risk. He just stared at me. “I take that as a no then.” I said before walking out of the door and letting it slam behind me.

I sat in the courtyard bummed out. I really wanted to go to Hogsmeade. Rainey had already gone off to give in her permission form.

“Cheer up.” George’s tone was merry. I groaned and placed my chin on my palms. They sat one either side of me.

“Want to go to Hogsmeade?” Fred said with a smile.

“More than anything!” I sighed not realising what he had in his hand. “The map! Of course!” I said standing up. I went to reach for it.

“Not so fast!” Fred said holding the map back. I was confused.

“If this is going to work you need a partner.” George said slyly. “Come on.” I followed them into a empty hallway. We stopped as we saw footprints walking towards us in the snow, yet there was no person. The twins smiled to each other and each looked like they grabbed an invisible arm. Drag marks appeared in the snow. The boys pulled something off in the air to reveal Harry Potter.

“Come on guys I need to get to Hogsmeade.” He wined.

“It will never work like that, you will get caught.” Fred said.

“What you need is the Maurders map.” George finished. George got out the map and waved his wand and said.

“I solemnly swear I am up to no good.” And tapped it. The map flourished into action and Potter looked amazed. As they explained about it I could see the others leaving for Hogsmeade.
