Yet another two months have passed us by with nothing exciting to count for it. Christmas has been and gone. I had to stay at Hogwarts again since Remus was off around the country. I have been helping Harry to try and figure out the egg. If we open it a loud screaming noise roars from its casing and a glowing light. It’s about two weeks until the Yule ball. I am lying in bed staring at the ceiling; I cannot sleep because I have a Potions essay due tomorrow and I have not yet started. I'm surprised how anyone can sleep when Cedric keeps on opening the bloody egg. Deciding I could not sleep I tumble out of bed. I grab a spare piece of parchment and my quill and head for the common room. It is quite and most people are asleep so I sit myself down in the biggest chair by the fire. As the yellow and black chair consumes me I hear a door go. Panicking because I thought it was a prefect I tuck myself up into a ball and hide in the chair. The footsteps echoed the room as the person walked straight passed me. I leaned around the chair and see Cedric dash through the exit. I untucked myself and looked at the essay then at the door. I bit my bottom lip as I ran after him. He climbed the stairs and headed into the prefects bathroom. Lowering my eyebrows I wondered what on earth he could be doing there. I crouched down outside the door and watched as he brought out the golden egg from beneath his cloak. He began to undress; at this point I turned around and stared at the wall. I heard running water and a splash. I looked back to see Cedric under the water with the egg. The water was shining in different bright vibrant colours. I sneak in for a closer look and find the colours are coming from the egg. Without knowing it I was standing right next to the bath. As he came up he shook his head getting me wet.

“Do you mind?” I shouted. At my voice he jumped and splashed about. He began to cover up with bubbles. “Relax I wouldn’t want to look, my eyes might fall out of there sockets.” I said in response.

“What are you doing here?” he asked nervously.

“I might ask you the same question.” I replied. He looked nervously towards the egg.

“I was finding out the clue for the next task.” he said.

“In middle of the night?” I questioned.

“I find it very relaxing.” He said in a snobbish manor.

“Ok I have had it with your finding nonsense.” I screamed. His eyes widened.

“I don’t know what you mean. I find you to be very rude.” He said looking up.

“Oh it’s always find this, found that or finding it to be. For once just shut up. And no Hufflepuff’s are not good finders.” I said in one big breath. Cedric sat there in the bath pouting.

“I don’t know what found its way into your system.” He said. I growled in anger. At this reaction he raised his hands in the air.

“Changing the subject. You should tell Harry.” I said.

“What? Why should I?” He replied.

“Because, Harry helped you in the Dragon test. And you owe me because you dyed my hair ginger!” I said with attitude. Cedric sighed. “Either you tell him or I do. And I will add you were too selfish to tell him. I am sure people will find it to be very interesting.” I said stressing the find. He looked at me and nodded. “Good” I said as I walked out of the room in triumph.

I woke up in a bad mood. As I walked into the great hall for breakfast the twins were not yet down, so for once I sat with the Hufflepuff’s. I sat down next Rainey with my head in my hands. I moaned as I thought about my essay, well I am going to get a detention. As I sipped my coffee the mail came. The birds swooped in with letters and parcels. Finally Midnight flew in with a huge box. As it dropped in front of me I studied it. It was silver and wrapped in a purple bow. I turned over a tag and it read.
