He was standing in the kitchen washing up the cups, by hand. He heard me come in but he refused to turn around.

“What was that about?” I asked frustrated. He did not reply, he just stood there washing. “Remus?” I said in a louder voice. “Remus?” I shouted. I flicked my wand and the cups were washed and dried. He turned around with his eyes wide.

“What?” He asked through his teeth.

“You fighting with Tonks, explain.” I asked bitterly. He was again silent. “Is it because she said she loved you?” He leant against the cabinets and stared at me. “You're pathetic.” I said as I turned to leave.

“How am I? I am trying to protect her!” He said.

“You are afraid of a relationship because you are a werewolf. Yet you still raised me. You’re a hypocrite and I know you like her too. You need to grow up, or you will lose her.” I told him severely. I walked out of the room and went up stairs to find Tonks. I had only known her for a few days but she had already become a good friend. My father had just left her room. He shook his head at me indicating I should not go in. I ignored him and knocked on her door, she was there for me in my time of need, I wanted to be there for her. I heard a gentle sniffing. “Tonks? Are you okay?” I asked shyly through the door.

“You can come in you know.” I heard her voice call from behind the door. Her room was pretty much like mine. She was sitting on her bed, her knee brought up to her chest. Her hair was a bright red.

“He can be a real idiot sometimes.” I laughed. She gave a weak smile and wiped a tear from her eye.

“It’s a pity I love that idiot.” She muttered. Another knock came at the door.

“Nymphadora.” Came a whining call. Her face turned angry. “Please, can we talk?” He asked calling through the door. She looked at me and nodded. I got up and opened the door. Remus was a bit shocked I opened the door. I gave him an evil look and left him with her.

No one knows what they talked about but they seemed fine afterwards. Tonks was back to her clumsy lovable self. And Remus was well, Remus. The great thing about the holidays was the lie-ins. It was about eleven o’clock on a Saturday. I was awake but I did not want to leave my bed. I rolled onto my side and stared at the walls. It was so relaxing here. I closed my eyes hoping for more sleep, when a whirling sound woke me up. My eyes shot open to see Fred and George smiling.

“I see you passed your apperating tests.” I muttered sleepily.

“Of course!” George said.

“How could you ever doubt us?” Fred asked sounding offended.

“Aren’t you a bit early?” I asked. I knew that the Weasley’s were coming to stay as well as Hermione and Harry, but that was supposed to be tomorrow.

“We came a day early.” Fred said.

“We thought we would surprise you.” George finished.

“Don’t worry we have already told Sirius and Lupin.” Fred said assumingly.

“Come on get up, we are going to Diagon alley.” George said excitedly. They left the room and allowed me to get changed. I liked muggle clothes they were much more comfortable than wizard robes. I practically ran down the stairs. The twins were talking to Tonks probably about pranking plans. I ran over to Remus where he was talking to Dad.

“Can I have some money please?” I asked sweetly. He looked me over.

“Where are you going?” He asked.
