"Why you go visit Emily so late?", Ricky asked. "She's good?".

"Yeah, I just went to check on her.". He shook his head.

"Yo' girl came by?"

"She's noy my girl but what you tell her?", I asked getting something to drink.

"Family emergency.". I shook my head.

"Where the kids at?"

"Nathan with Afia in the back and Jayden playin' the game. He just got done beatin' my ass."

"In what?"

"Call of Duty.". I started laughing. "What?".

"Jayden never played Call Of Duty and he beat yo' ass.". The doorbell rung before he could respond. "Who is it?", I asked as I walked to the door.

"Tommy.". I opened the door, she had a bag and Amari with her. She got her out here looking like nobody care about her. Her hair ain't done, her shoes busted up, her clothes look too little, and they look dirty. "Can you watch her?", she asked scratching her arm and smacking gum.

"Yeah, hey Amari."

"Hey.", she said looking down.

"Amari look at me.". She looked up and had a black eye.

"Can I go play with Jayden?", she asked looking back down.

"Yeah.", I said shaking my head. After I couldn't see her in looked at Tommy. "What happened to her eye?".

"Something at school, here.", she said giving me her bag. This a big ass bag. She started scratching her arm again and moving around.

"This a big ass bag for a night?", I asked lifting it up.

"I need you to watch her for 2 weeks.", Tommy said scratching her arm and moving around. What the hell?

"Where you goin'?", I asked.

"My man wanna take me somewhere and she can't come.", she said smacking her gum.

"Her birthday is this week Tommy.", I said.

"Take her to Chuck E Cheese or some shit.", she said smacking gum.

"Are you serious?", I asked tilting my head.

"Yeah. I gotta go. Don't call me unless she's dyin'. Don't take her to school. Bye.", she said before walking away. Did she really just say that shit?

"Tommy!". She ignored me and got into the car. We haven't seen them in forever and now this. I don't know nothing about girls clothes and hair and shit. My momma can't help. Hannah.

...

I tried calling her but she's not answering so I went to her house. When I knocked on the door a dude answered. I made sure this was the right address and it is. She said that she didn't have any brothers or sisters or cousins. "Is Hannah here?".

"Who you?", the dude asked.

"Terrence, we're-"

"Hey Terrence.", Hannah said interrupting me.

"Who is this Hannah?", the dude asked.

"He's my coworker.", she said rubbing his arm. She got a nigga.

"Why he know where you stay?", he asked mad.

"Baby I'll handle it, go finish watching TV.", she said moving. He looked at me then left.

"You got a nigga?", I asked.

"Why didn't you call?", she asked quietly.

"You got a nigga?", I asked again.

"Stop changing the subject-", she said.

"You changin' the subject. You got a nigga?", I asked cutting her off.

"Yeah but can we still be friends? You're-"

"Bye Hannah.", I said walking away from her.

...

Emily:Hello?
Me:Are you busy this weekend?
Emily:No, what's up?
Me:Can you come here?
Emily:Mhm, what's wrong?

Emily:Is she okay?
Me:I don't even know.
Emily:I can come tonight.

Emily:Mhm, my shit still there right?
Me:Right.
Emily:I'll catch the next flight out.
Me:Okay.

Emily:Anything, how was your day?
Me:Really nigga? I just got back like a hour ago, if that.
Emily:Fuck you.
Me:I got you when you make it here.
Emily:Oh really? I can't wait.

She said playing around.
