You were walking home from school when you heard a strange noise. You froze in place to listen. After a few seconds of silence, you thought it was just in your imagination. But, sure enough, the noise started again and you walked into an alley to search for the noise. You came upon a blue police phone box. It was outdated and seemed to be smoking. You heard talking inside and knocked on the door hesitantly. A man's head popped out and looked at you.
"Can i help you?" he asked.
"I was merely wondering if everything was alright. There's smoke," you replied.
"There is?" he asked, surprised.
You pointed it out to him and he laughed.
"Well there is!" he exclaimed.
He slammed the door shut and you heard things crashing and the strange man talking out loud. You shook your head, still reeling from the strange encounter and turned to leave. The door open again and the strange man called out to you.
"Wait! I don't know your name!" he said.
"Y/N," you said, walking back to him.
"Nice to meet you, Y/N. I'm the Doctor," he smiled, and shook your hand.
"Nice to meet you, too," you replied, smiling in return.
"Would you like to come inside?" he asked.
You nodded and he led you inside eagerly. Inside, it was anything BUT a police phone box. You went outside and back inside, in disbelief.
"How?" you questioned.
"This is the Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. TARDIS for short," he explained.
"Who are you?" you asked, slowly.
"I am the Doctor. I am from the Planet Gallifrey," he said.
"Wow," you said, trying to take it all in.
"And i have one question for you, Miss Y/N," he said.
You nodded at him to proceed.
"Will you be my companion?" he questioned.
