You woke up in your room on the TARDIS.
Today was your birthday and you were willing to bet that the Doctor had forgotten.
You opened your closet to find that the TARDIS had picked out an outfit for you.
You noticed a note and picked it up.
Happy Birthday!
-TARDIS
You smiled to yourself.
“Thank you,” you said loudly.
You got dressed and went to the console room.
“Good morning, Y/N,” The Doctor said.
You saw him struggling with the controls.
“Morning, Doctor. Is something wrong?” you asked.
“It’s just the TARDIS acting up. She landed here and won’t move,” he groaned, banging against it a bit.
The screen popped out and some words in Gallifreyan appeared, but you didn’t understand it.
“Oh, that’s why!” The Doctor exclaimed.
“What is it?” you asked.
“She wants you to celebrate your birthday!” he laughed.
You blushed.
“Why didn’t you remind me that was today?” he asked you.
You shrugged.
“It’s not really important,” you answered.
The Doctor gasped and clutched his chest dramatically.
“Not important?” he said, “My dear, Y/N, it is very important!”
The Doctor ran out of the TARDIS and you shook your head before running after him.
The TARDIS had dropped you off at a lake.
“But I don’t have any swimming clothes on!” you said.
The Doctor ran behind you and shoved you in.
As your head resurfaced, you managed to see the Doctor jump in.
In a bit of fun, you flailed about wildly before allowing yourself to go back under.
“Y/N!” you heard the Doctor scream out.
You swam up behind him and climbed onto him shoulders quickly.
“Yes?” you asked, trying not to laugh.
“I thought you’d drowned!” he scolded, looking up at you.
“I’ve been swimming since I was a child,” you chuckled.
“Oh, you think that’s funny?” he asked.
You nodded and gasped as the Doctor tossed you off his shoulders.
“Oh, it’s on!” you laughed.
That was the beginning of a birthday spent with play fights and water battles.
The TARDIS was very happy with itself.
