You were staying in your old apartment.
You had shut off your phone to avoid any phone calls or texts.
You didn’t want to be found. Not yet, at least.
You were crying.
Tony had made you feel worthless.
He had constantly shove you to the side for someone or something else.
You knew you didn’t deserve to be treated that way, but you stayed anyway. You didn’t believe in giving up.
But tonight, you had gotten the message clearly.
It was broken beyond repair. And no matter how much you wanted to fix it, you couldn’t.
You decided you didn’t want to waste your time crying.
You picked yourself up off the floor.
You turned on your phone, only to see one text from Tony.
Bye.
That crushed your heart completely.
You ignored it and went to bed.
The next morning, you went to your waitress job with a smile and even though you only thought about Tony and felt pain, you ignored it.
It went like this for two months.
You’re shy new coworker Tommy approached you early that morning.
You heard the door open, but ignored it focusing on Tommy.
“Hey, Y/N,” he smiled.
“Hey Tommy,” you smiled back.
“Um, I was wondering if you wanted to grab some coffee sometime?” he asked.
“I’d like that,” you nodded.
This could be the step you needed to get over Tony.
You felt a tap on your shoulder.
You looked over to see Tony behind you.
Pain crossed your mind.
“What do you want?” you asked, coldly.
“Can we talk?” He asked, quietly.
You sighed and nodded.
You both slid into a booth.
“I know you hate me and you should. I let you down so much and made you seem so unimportant. But you’re the most important thing I have. I promise to prioritize better and to treat you better and to show you I love you more. Just come home. Please. I need you, baby,” he begged with tears in his eyes, “I love you, Y/N.”
You stared at him silently, trying to see f he was telling the truth.
“Say anything. Please,” he pleaded.
“I love you, too,” you whispered.
He slid out of the booth and pulled you to stand, hugging you tightly and kissing you repeatedly.
He stopped and turned to Tommy.
“She can’t get coffee with you after all,” he said.
You giggled as you wrapped your arms around him again.
Tony Stark was the only one for you.
