You were currently laying in bed, sprawled across it, and staring at the ceiling.

Your phone rang again, but you ignored it.

You already knew it was Lydia.

She had called you every night for a month.

You had ignored her and kept your distance from her and her friends, especially Stiles.

It just hurt too much.

You knew what happened with the nogitsune was forced, and you had hated it.

However, there were times when Stiles would slip through at night and you would talk for hours.

It was all gone before you could even process it.

Stiles? He didn’t even remember.

So you stayed away.

Not to mention you once walked into the lacrosse locker room only to find Lydia and Stiles kissing.

While it broke your heart, you kept a stone cold expression and merely turned and left.

Now here you were again, wondering if you were a bad person for abandoning your friends or if you really needed to work on fixing your broken heart.

Honestly, you didn’t know what to think.

There was a shattering noise downstairs.

You heard someone curse.

Quickly jumping to your feet, you grabbed your bat and snuck downstairs.

You heard footsteps coming toward you, so you turned and ducked into the kitchen.

You waited, listening for the echo of the intruder on the stairs.

You heard their foot hit the first step and ran behind them, hitting their head with your bat.

The person fell backwards at your feet.

You turned on the light and gasped when you saw Stiles.

“What the hell are you doing here?” you hissed.

You helped him up and sat him on your couch.

You rushed to get your first aid kit.

“No one’s heard from you in a month. You’ve been avoiding everyone. I had to make sure you were okay,” you heard Stiles answer.

You sighed and walked back out, sitting next to him.

He had a gash on the side of his head from your bat.

You began to clean it.

“Did you ever think of knocking?” you said.

“Would you have answered?” he returned.

“Touche,” you said.

“That’s my line,” he chuckled.

You paused.

“What?” you asked.

“Nothing,” he said quickly.

You hesitated, but finished cleaning his wound.

“So, just like last time, huh?” he said, picking up your bat.

You stared at him, your eyes widening.

“You…,” you trailed off.

“I remember,” Stiles confirmed, “I remember what you did for me. I remember our talks. I remember everything.”

You bit your lip and silently turned to go upstairs.

Stiles reached out and grabbed your hand, pulling you back to face him.

“It’s my turn,” he said.

“Your turn to what?” you asked as Stiles pulled you close.

“To protect you,” he said, pressing a gentle and loving kiss to your lips, “I can still be your bad boy if you want.”

You raised an eyebrow.

“I think i much prefer my good boy.”
