You were talking to Rogue about two cute guys who had recently arrived at the Charles Xavier school for mutants.
“But if you had to pick one, which would you choose?” she asked.
You looked at them.
“The one with the spiked hair. He’s punk. He’s definitely my type,” You smiled.
“Good, because I like the country one,” she laughed.
You looked back over, only to see Scott Summers, otherwise known as Cyclops, walking towards you. You rolled your eyes and gave him your back, continuing your conversation with Rogue.
“So, are we going to just stand here and admire the eye candy from a distance? Or are we going to walk up and start a party?” You asked.
“I think we should-,” Rogue began.
“What are you two talking about?” Scott interrupted.
You made a face and Rogue snickered.
You turned to Scott.
“Two new hotties on campus,” You said, nodding in their direction.
“So you like the one with superspeed or the one with the invisibility power?” he asked, looking at them too.
“Which one is spiky hair?” You asked.
“Invisibility power,” Scott answered.
“I like him. Rogue likes the other one,” You answered.
Scott glared at the two boys.
“Look, Y/N, can we talk?” he asked.
“I thought that was what we were doing?” you responded.
“Without the attitude,” he sighed.
“Not really, no,” you spoke.
He groaned.
“FIne. But come to my motorcycle class later. I need your help,” he said.
Now, it was your turn to groan.
“Yeah, whatever,” you said.
Scott gave you a sad look, but walked away.
“What’s your problem with him anyway?” Rogue asked.
“He tricked me into loving him so I would go to the school,” You admitted.
“Oh my god,” she gasped.
You just gave her a sad smile.
“It’s whatever now,” you said.
The bell rang and you went to history class with Logan before you went to Scott’s class. Only, it was empty and dark.
You used your power of electricity to turn on the lights, but a bunch of little lightbulbs hanging from the ceiling glowed softly. You watched Scott walk towards you.
You turned to leave.
“Y/N, please!” He begged.
You took a deep breath and faced him.
He handed you a rose.
You took it, glaring at him.
“I know I messed up badly. I know I was stupid and what I did was despicable,” Scott said, looking at you.
You raised your eyebrow at his pause.
“Oh, please continue. I like this part,” You said.
His lips turned up into a slight smirk.
“But i love you. And i know how stupid and cheesy this all sounds, but I do,” he finished, “I love you.”
Your heart started beating faster. You set the rose on one of the motorcycles and stepped close to Scott. You removed his glasses and chuckles as he closed his eyes shut.
“What are you doing?” he hissed.
You held your hand in front of his eyes.
“Open them,” You whispered.
“I’ll kill you,” he argued.
“Don’t you love me? If you love me, you have to trust me,” you commented.
Scott sighed and carefully opened his eyes.
The lasers that came out went into your palm. It stung a little, but it didn’t kill you.
“Lasers are electricity,” you explained.
Scott looked bewildered and you put his glasses back on.
“I love you, too,” you whispered, kissing his lips gently.
“What about the spiky haired boy?” Scott asked, raising an eyebrow.
You chuckled.
“Who?”
