You entered your best friend Penelope Garcia’s house. She had invited you over to meet her teammates.

“Guys, this is her!” she said excitedly as you walked into the living room.

“Hey, I’m Y/N Y/L/N,” you said.

“So you’re the crazy adventurer?” someone stepped up and asked.

“That’s me,” you chuckled.

“Where’s your motorcycle?” he asked.

“My baby is right outside,” you winked.

“That’s Derek,” Penelope said, “Those are JJ,Spencer, Aaron, David, and Emily.”

“Nice to meet you all,” you said, waving.

Spencer was the only one sitting in the corner of the room.

“Is that one alright?” you asked Penelope.

“He is just really preoccupied right now,” she sighed.

“Wait, so you have fun right?” Derek asked.

“All the time,” you nodded.

He exchanged looks with Hotchner.

“I know this may be weird to ask but could you take Spencer out?” Hotchner asked, “He needs someone to explain to him not to stress over everything.”

“Uh,” you responded looking at Penelope.

She gave you a nod of encouragement.

“Sure,” you answered.

“Spencer, go with Y/N,” Hotchner ordered.

“Where?”’ Spencer replied.

“We’re going to clear your head,” you said.

He followed you outside and when you led him to your motorcycle, he gave you a weird look.

“I don’t think I want to go anymore,” he said.

“Get on,” you ordered.

You got on and he got on behind you. You both rode to a park.

“Listen, I know we don’t know each other very well, but people seem to be worried about you. You’re stressing over things. I don’t want to pry, but I want you to understand that some things aren’t worth so much thought or effort. Now I know you’re a doctor and you’re paid to focus on the little things, but you need some fun too,” you explained, “You have to just do things. Life needs a little spontaneous.”

You smiled at him, hoping he understood.

Reid blinked and kissed you, causing you to kiss back.

“Like that?” he asked.

“You’re getting there.”
