You woke up to a small green light.
You groaned.
You reached out to pull up the covers, but your hand touched cold ground.
Your eyes widened in alarm and you sat up in fear.
It took a moment for your memories to return.
“I’m dead,” you whispered.
“Not quite yet,” a man’s voice told you.
You looked up, seeing the man from before.
“You’re that strange man from before!” You recalled.
You looked around and stood up in fear.
“You’re an alien?” you questioned.
“A Time Lord, yes,” he nodded.
“How am I alive?” you asked.
“You’re regeneration cycle healed you,” he explained.
“My what?” you asked, confused.
“You should start by telling her who she really is,” a woman’s voice sighed.
You turned to see the woman.
She was smiling at you and walking closer.
She put her hand to your cheek.
“Who are you people?” you asked, pulling away quickly.
“I’m the Doctor. That’s my wife, River Song. We’re your parents,” the Doctor sighed.
“My parents are dead. Those… things killed them,” You replied.
“They adopted you. I left you at an orphanage and they must have taken you in,” The Doctor explained.
You were close to tears.
“You’re half Time Lord,” he whispered.
“Is that why I’m alive?” you asked, tears slipping down your face.
He nodded slowly.
“Why are you crying?” River asked.
“I’m scared. I just found out my parents aren’t really my parents. I’m not fully human. And I just witness two people I loved being murdered. I think I’m having a slight breakdown,” you sobbed.
The Doctor pulled you into a comforting embrace.
“We’re here for you. I told you we would find you again and we did. We are never letting you go again,” he whispered.
“Promise?” you whispered.
“I promise,” he said, kissing your head.
River joined in the group hug.
“You’re stuck with us,” she sighed.
You gave a small smile.
“We’re going to be a family. Like we should have been,” she laughed.
You liked the idea.
