Chapter 17

Red's POV

"Yes.... I'll be there..... What time?" I asked my mom on the phone while I entered our family room. "That soon? Okay okay. That's already tomorrow right?" Umupo ako sa couch at pinaglaruan yung stuff toy na nandon.

"But I have a guest staying in our house... Is it fine with you?....." Natawa ako sa sinabi ni mom. "No mom! You know I don't bring girls over. I'm clean mom!... It hurts you know, coming those words from your own mother." sabi ko ng medyo nagtatampo pero nakangiti pa rin. "Aish okay okay.... I'll hang over na. Please be safe on your trip home. And say Dad that come back home real soon as possible okay? I missed you guys. Good night." ibinaba ko na ang tawag at humiga sa couch.

Ang lapad ng mga ngiti ko. "Finally, this house will be filled with joy again. I can't wait to be with them again." It's been almost one year since I last saw them. They're such a busy parents but I can understand their hard works.

Naglakad na ako pabalik sa kwarto ko para matulog but I checked on Jaycee's room first. She's already fast asleep. Dahan dahan kong sinara ang pinto at nagtungo na sa kwarto ko. Maaga ko pang kakaunin si Mom sa airport and I can't wait. It didn't take long ng makatulog na ako.

It's just 5:30 in the morning ng magising ako. Nagluto na rin ako ng breakfast para may makain si Jaycee pag gising niya. I already left a note inside her room. 6:25 and I'm still driving my way to the airport. Her arrival time is 7:30 and I still have an hour. I didn't take long since I got to the airport on time. I'm just waiting for her plane to flash on the screen.

Hindi naman nagtagal at dumating na yung sinasakyan niyang eroplano. Mabilis akong pumunta sa receiving area at hinanap siya. And there, I saw a woman wearing a pink dress with her glasses on. She look pretty and lovely as ever. Lumapit ako sa kanya.

"You're here." she said and hugged me tight.

"Mom! You're getting more prettier. I almost can't recognize you. Mas lalo pa ata kayong bumabata. Sa states na rin kaya ako tumira?" Natawa ako sa sarili kong bola sa Mom ko. Mahina niya akong hinampas sa dibdib.

"Nambola ka na naman Dane ha." tumawa siya ng bahagya. Kinuha ko sa kanya yung maleta niya at nagtungo kami sa kotse ko. "We have a lot of catching to do."

I smiled at her. "Maybe we have." I started the engine at nagsimula ng magpaandar.

Jaycee's POV

"Ano bang pwedeng iregalo?" Tanong ko sa sarili ko habang iniikot ang buong mall. Aish! Nakakahiya naman kasi kung wala man lang akong maibibigay sa Mommy ni Red diba? Sa kanila pa naman ako nakikitira ngayon. I heard kasi last night yung conversation nila ni Red. So eto ako ngayon, namomroblema sa ireregalo ko sa Mom niya. It's so hard naman.

Naka simple ripped jeans at plain black shirt lang ako and a black cap. I can't go anywhere naman without hiding my identity right? Pagkaguluhan pa ako ng mga bagets dito hahaha.
