7.5 RL Trying to Hide... Then Failing 20-8

This chapter is being released early, because Moustachio and I are going to her uni Open Day to get free stuff. Can't pass up that opportunity!

This is kind of a rant, but not really.
So, I've worked at the same place for 1 and 1/2 years. Before each shift, I usually have a book or my ipad in hand. My co-workers are used to that. I don't talk much when I'm reading, so they don't ask me anything. They know I am a bookworm, but not about the anime/manga/movie/cartoon fangirl/monster that I keep locked up inside when I'm at work. And I don't want them to know! Ever!
But something happened the other day...

You know when someone's with you, who you know doesn't like anime or books or whatever you fan about, and you're just happily reading this new, fantastic fanfiction, and that person comes over and asks "What you reading'?

.
And you forget where you are and who you're talking to, and forget to lie, and say "Oh, it's just Harry Potter."?
.
.
But you forget, and blurt out the truth so casually?

"A Percy Jackson, Fairy Tail Red String Crossover Fanfic."
.
.
.
Oh, shit.
.
.
And then you just sit there, wanting them to say something, but not wanting to have to say it again.

.
.
.
"I did not understand a word you just said."
Well, thank fuck for that!
*Calmly* "A fairy tale. I'm reading a fairy tale."
"Aren't you a bit old for fairy tales?"
"The Brothers' Grimm versions are creepy as hell." (I'm not technically lying. I didn't say I was reading them, just that the tales were creepy, which they are.)
"Oh, ok then... You're on in 15, just so you know."
"Ok, thanks."

*Phew* That was fucking close.

We FT fans have it so easy, because nobody knows the verbal difference between fairy tale and Fairy Tail. 😅

I actually wrote this chapter at work a few days afterward (You'd think I'd've learnt my lesson), and someone asked me again what I was doing. So I was just like: Don't say you write! Do not say writing! "I'm reading a fanfiction?"
*Cringe*
(I think I've figured out I can't lie under pressure. What would give you that idea?)
And he was all, "Oh, that's fine. I don't think that's weird."
Thank you! Some people are cool like that. 🙂

Wattpad's so annoying.
For some weird reason, I get all these boyxboy and threesome stories recommended to me. Why? I haven't ever- Oh, wait.
MaLec. GerIta. PruCan. FrUK. Lately, FrUKUS. SpaMano. JeanMarco. ReinerBertolt. SolAngelo. FrAxus. NorKIngton.
But really, they don't count because they're fanfics and it's recommending original stories. It makes me feel dirty to see those threesome stories on my home page, especially with some of the covers those books have... Thank God the only people who have my password are PS and M🥜.
I kinda remember when I only shipped straight couples... That was a long time ago... Simpler times. (Mostly before I was 14. I'm now 19.)

Also, that moment when Wattpad recommends books you've read and have in your library because they've run out of other recommendations... :'(
