This isn't a rant, but more of a 'I have a weird habit, do you have it too?' sort of thing.
This seems to be a regular thing now. It might as well be a miniseries. The 'Do you do these things that I do' series. Just 'DY' for short.

No! Go away!

So, this is about cosplay channels on Youtube.
When I watch a lot of videos in a row of the same channel, or a while after I've seen the movie/anime, I tend to see the cosplayers instead of the actual characters when thinking about the show later.

Using Hetalia as a example (because I'm trash and apparently can't think of another example):
I recently rewatched a lot of AiAnime's Hetalia clips and CMVs. A few days later when thinking of drabbles for my other book, I realised that I was picturing AiAnime's characters instead of the actual animated Germany and Italy. (Which was kinda weird, because I know the cosplayers are sisters, but the GerIta in my imagination weren't.)
Or OpperationPecan's Nordics. So many times I realised I was basing my scripts and stories off how they would react instead of the animated Nordics (which is not the same thing, even if we're basing them off of the same starter material. Everyone has bits that they add to the character in their own way.)

Or TheMischiefManagers. They are the best Marauder cosplayers that I've found. I honestly can't even remember what the HP&OP Marauders look like, but I can picture TMM perfectly. With the lack of basically any real canon-ness of their characters at that age in any official PotterVerse infomation, they ARE my Marauders. (I'm not even sure if that makes sense. Canon-ness? Potterverse? What the heck?)

So, anyone else do this? Picture YouTubers instead of the actual characters?

And if you don't know AiAnime Cosplay, OpperationPecan, or TheMischiefManagers, check them out. They're really good cosplay channels.
AAC: Hetalia, Undertale, Steven Universe, DanganRoper
