My knight In Shining Armor

First day back.

She walked out from the lobby, when outside she grabbed a cab.
Five minutes later a cab drove up, she got in and said her work address.
Twenty minutes later the cab stopped outside her work, she paid the cab driver.

She walked up to the newspaper entrance and showed her badge at the security.
She stood outside the building entrance and just took a big breath and told herself that she could do this and Logan would be okey.

She opened the door and walked in then towards the elevators, pressed the button and went up to her floor.
When the elevator reached the sixth floor, she walked out.
She walked into her office, where she saw her assistant Kylie.

"Hey Rory, how are you?" Kylie asked Rory.

"I'm okey considering, you?" Rory asked Kylie.

"I'm good, by the way Jake wants to see you in his office in about fifteen minutes." Kylie told her.

"Did he say what he wanted?" Rory asked Kylie.

"He just wanted to talk to you." Kylie told her.

"I'd better get up there, can you get me a light baguette?" Rory asked Kylie.

"Sure, I'll have it ready for you when you get back down." Kylie told her.

"Thanks Kylie." Rory thanked her.

She walked out from her office and towards the elevator, pushed the button and walked in then pushed the 8th floor button.

When she reached the eighth floor, she walked out of the elevator and walked towards her boss office. She stopped outside and knocked on the door.

"Come in." Jake said.

Rory opened the door.

"Hey, boss. Kylie said you wanted to talk to me." Rory asked Jake.

"Yes, I'm glad you're back and how are you and Logan doing?" Jake asked her.

"We're both trying to deal with him being sick, it's been rough on us both." Rory answered him.

"I'm sorry to here that Rory, let me know if there anything I can do?" Jake told her.

"I will Jake, anything else?" Rory asked him.

"Nothing for the moment but just let me know if you need anything." Jake told her.

"I will, thanks Jake." She told him while walking out from the office.

After she walked out from the office, she picked up her phone and dialed Paris's phone.

A few seconds later Paris picked up.

~ "Hello it's Paris."

~ "Hey, how are things going at home?"

~"It's going okay so far, Logan's resting for now, how are things going at work?"

~"It's weird being back, I'm just worried about him."

~ "I know Rory but I'm here taking care of him and I'm telling you it will be okey."

~"Yeah I guess.I'will be home in a few hours, just call me if there is any change with Logan?"

~ "I will Rory, and we'll see you in a few hours."

She hung up the phone then she walked into the elevator and went back down to her floor.

She got walked out from the elevator, towards her office where she saw a man standing in her office. Before walking into her office, she stopped outside her office.
