Preparing for a night out

Rory and Logan had told Emily and Richard both of their new, but they just sat there with their mouths opened.

"Finally you two are engaged, congratulations to you both." Emily said finally breaking the silence.

"So you don't have any chemo sessions left?" Richard asked Logan.

"If the cancer doesn't begin to spread again, then no." Logan answered him.

"So when's the wedding?" Emily asked Rory while grabbing her hand and looking at the ring.

"We have discussed either having a Summer wedding or a Winter wedding." Rory answered her.

"No date yet? But summer is coming up in just a couple of months." Emily told Rory.

"I know grandma, me and Logan have some more to discuss before setting a date." Rory told Emily while taking a sip from her drink.

"So Logan will you go back to work soon?" Richard asked Logan.

"I'm not entirely sure, I just want to be fully restored and have enough energy to get
back." Logan answered Richard.

"That's understandable, we can't fully understand what you and Rory have been through these last few months." Richard told him.

"I just know I couldn't have made it through without Ace by my side." Logan told them while kissing Rory on her cheek.

"Who wants desert?" Rory asked them while standing up from the table.

"We would love some desert, what are we having?" Emily answered her.

"Chocolate cake from my and Logan's favorite desert place." Rory told her.

"That's sound delicious." Richard told her.

"Babe, help me clear the table?" Rory asked Logan.

"Sure Ace." Logan answered her while standing up from the table.

They cleaned of the table and walked into the kitchen.

"They took the news pretty well right?" Logan asked her.

"Yeah I guess they took it better than I expected." Rory answered him.

Three hours later they all said goodbye to each other and as soon Rory's grandparents had left. She and Logan started to get ready for the night out with the old gang.

"What are you wearing tonight Ace?" Logan asked her while getting out from the shower.

"Umm.. I'm not really sure". She answered him while walking in to the walk in closet.

She looked around the room, trying to find something to wear. When something catched her eye. She grabbed a dress, that she recognized.

"What about this babe?" Rory asked Logan holding up the dress.

Logan turned around and looked at the dress.

"It's that your lucky dress??" He asked her.

"Yes it is, I feel like this is a special occasion. Don't you think"? Rory answered him.

"It sure is a special occasion, btw what time is it?" Logan asked her.

"17.10 so Finn and Rosemary will be here any minute." Rory answered him.

"Thanks, btw do you think I can wear this?" He asked her while holding up beige pants and a black shirt.

"That looks suiting for tonight." Rory answered him.
