"Mailap sila Sir. We still have no clue about their Lair, nor their base"

"Is that so? Even their whereabouts?"

"Their plan to take over Gangster Lair is all over the Darknet. Anonymous username ang nandoon at hindi member ng Gangster Society"

Nanatili akong nakasandal sa likod ng pinto habang pinapakinggan ang pag-uusap ni Dad at ng secretary nya. Or should I say, Secretary Oh, a Gangster Attendant in the Gangster Org.

"That son of a bitch. I've been searching for him for 4 years, and yet, di ko pa din sya mahanap-hanap. Maniningil na ako sa buhay na pinatay nya. I will kill him for killing my wife"

Napakurap ako. Who killed who? I scoffed as I clench my fist. I thought mom's death is because of a car crash. No one said it was murder! Malakas ko'ng sinipa ang pintuan kaya nagulat sila nang makita ako.

"Lara!" Isang mapait na ngiti ang isinukli ko sa kanya. My eyes are fuming with anger, and I felf like burning up for the truth he hid from me.

His been feeding me with lies about mom's death! How dare he!

"W-what are you doing here?" He ask. He tried to make his facial expression calm and relaxed, but I can see through his eyes, he's damn anxious and worried at the same time.

"Tell me the truth!"

"Truth about what?" I send him dagger looks. Warning him to tell the truth before I could do something.

"You know what I'm talking about Dad! I heard everything!" Umiwas sya ng tingin kaya mas lalo akong nakaramdam ng galit.

"You may Leave now Mr. Oh" agad lumabas si Secetary Oh at naiwan kami ni Dad sa loob ng office nya.

"Your mom died in a Car crash. That's all!" I hissed. Hindi yan ang narinig ko! Bumilis bigla ang paghinga ko, nanginginig ang mga balikat ko. Parang gusto kong manira ng mga bagay.

"Don't even try me dad! You said someone killed her! It was 'him' who killed her! All this time you've been lying to me about mom's death!? How dare you!" Dumagungdong ang boses ko sa apat na sulok ng kwarto ko. Agad napatingin saakin si Dad, lumapit sya saakin na parang natataranta.

"Lara calm down, Calm down okay? Your eyes are changing again" hinawakan ako ni Dad sa balikat at pinaupo sa couch. Marahan nya'ng hinahagod ang likod ko para pakalmahin ako.

"Why did you lie to me!?" Malakas kong sigaw na mukhang ikinataranta nya lalo.

"Calm down, please. I'll tell you everything, just calm down" huminga ako ng malalim at mariin na pinikit ang mga mata ko.

Calm down Lara, calm down.

Nang kumalma na ako ay huminga muna ako ng malalim bago minulat ang mga mata ko. Bumungad kaagad saakin ang nag-aalalang mukha ni Dad.

"Start talking" seryoso kong sabi. He look at me in the eyes, and he knew I was damn serious.

"Fine. But promise me one thing"

"What?"

"Promise me not to do anything stupid. Promise me not to do anything reckless that will harm you" I nod.
