On the bridge of the (Olympus Class Carrier) USS Enterprise Admiral Shane of the US Navy 3rd fleet watch as he was the first Admiral in the US Navy to be in command of the first US Space fleet. His fleet was made up of one Carrier two Battleships three cruisers and four Destroyers " admiral " an officer said "what is petty officer?" Admiral Shane asked " were are leaving orbit know and the fleet is holding strong" the petty officer told " very good petty officer  in form me when we come up on the unknown fleet in orbit I went every thing locked and loaded and our fighters ready for take off" Admiral Shane ordered his crew ( the artillery rounds on the warships are specially designed to travel through space and hit there targets as they would do on earth)  

In thrawn lead star destroyer Thrawn and agent kallus were on the bridge talking about strategic targets on earth for when the invasion force arrives " it appears that this section of the planet is a mountain region that would make it difficult for are walkers to move through" kallus said as he was pointing to Italy just as thrawn was about to say something he was interrupted by an officer " excuse me sir " the officer said "what is it commander?" thrawn asked " were detecting ten vessels leaving the planet" that instantly caught thrawn's attention " were are they know commander" wanting to know the location of the ships " there right in front of use sir" the commander replied thrawn looked out the windows of the bridge to see ten wars ships One large one that was the size of three star destroyers two about the same size of the star destroyer three that were half the size and four that were the size of three hammerhead corvettes  

"sir were beaning contacted by the unknown fleet" the petty officer told Admiral Shane "  patch it through" Admiral Shane ordered as soon as he was patched trough  " this is Admiral Shane of the United states navy to whom am I speaking to?" Shane asked through the comms " admiral Shane is it?" a much more calmer voice asked "it is" Shane replied " this is Grand Admiral Thrawn of the Galactic Empire as of right know this system and planet is under the jurisdiction of the Galactic empire you and your ships are to stand down ore we will open fire and it will be seen as an act of war so I suggest you chews wisely" thrawn as calmly " how can you say if we attack it will been seen as an act of war when you already attack one of our bases on our planet!" Shane asked waiting to her thawns response " is this Admiral Shane?" a new voice asked hint of annoyance " yes it is to whom am I speaking to?" Admiral Shane asked " this is governor tarkin of the Galactic empire as of right know this is under our control as of know you are to surrender immediately this is your only warning " tarkin said in a stern voice " sir!" a sailor ran up to the admiral and saluted him " what is it sailor?" Admiral Shane asked "Washington has given you permission to use force if necessary" the sailor  before Shane could reply the ship shook violently "what the HELL! was that!?" Shane demanded ' sir the enemy fleet just fired on us !" another sailor replied " order all ships to fire at will!" Shane ordered and with the first battle between earth and the empire begins
