Two storm troopers were standing next to a turbo laser turret
" how long do you think it's going to be until command realizes that this planet isn't worth it?" a storm trooper asked his comrade " I don't know but let's hope that it's soon because so far this planet doesn't look like it's much good to any one" The second storm trooper said they were talking for a little bit until they heard something above them
"what's that?" the storm trooper asked then the turbo laser exploded killing the storm troopers
in the sky and A-10 warthog saw the explosions " Base this dog 5 direct hit on target" "roger that dog 5 the rest of your squadron hit there as well know sending in ground forces"
US controlled territory
Multiple M777 howitzer's were lined up " Major . General Houston wants to know what the progress of the artillery guns sir" a soldier said to his commanding officer
" Tell General Houston that we are ready to fire on his command" the Major said to the soldier
"General were ready to fire just awaiting your orders" the soldier said through his comm " Fire at will" the general Houston said to the soldier " Roger that General" the soldier said as he turned his back to the major
" Major General Houston said fire at will" the soldier said to the major " Alright" the major said as he turned his head to his men " Fire!!!" the major shouted at his men as the loaded the rounds in the artillery guns and fired them.
From the airfield the artillery guns could be heard as US troops began to get on there transports and move towards imperial occupied territory kanan, hera Rex, zeb, chopper, and ahsoka made there way back to the ghost "well it looks like the assault is already under way" kanan said to hera as they made there way back to the ghost
"yeah lets just get to the ghost and join the rest of there air forces to help provide support for there ground forces" hera said to the Jedi then a large shadow appeared over them they looked up to a Retribution class battleship and two cruisers head towards the city.
as they approached the ghost they saw Sabine and Ezra standing there talking to each other although they could here what they were saying .
they saw that ezra was about to leave as he was about to turn around sabine grabbed him and kissed him he was surprised for a minute but return the kiss Kanan and the others couldn't help but smile at the sight.
Ezra was taken back by the immediate kiss but closed his eyes as his arms made its way around her waist and her made there way around his neck soon the young couple separated and looked at each other " please be careful " sabine said to ezra " I will" ezra said as turned and walked away to join the rest of the US forces for the assault
Sabine sighed having to see ezra leave even though he said that he would be careful she couldn't help but feel that something bad would happened to him she was jut thinking of what would happened he's hurt or separated from the others these thoughts were running in Sabine's head for a while until she heard someone clear her throat she turned to see the res of the crew standing there with smiles on there faces
"how long have you've been standing there?" Sabine asked in embarrassment "long enough to know that you two can't say good by without sharing a kiss" Kanan said with a smirk only to get elbowed in the stomach by hera " what?" Kanan said as he rubbed his stomach as he and the others walked into the ghost. hera walked up to sabine and placed her hand on Sabine's shoulder " He's going to be okay sabine" Hera said to young mandalorian who still had a worried look on her face " I know hera I just cant help but shake the feeling that something bad is going to happen" Sabin told her " Sabine he's going to be with his people fighting alongside them but he's gonna need air support if the assault is going to a success" Hera said as she looked the young mandalorian in the eyes.
Sabine nodded weakly and followed Hera in to the ghost
Twenty minutes later
" Sabine we got ties coming!" Hera shouted from the pilots seat sabine was in the nose turret firing at the incoming ties
" Ahh it looks like the empire was expecting a massive assault as this" zeb said as he was in rear turret
" Looks like the general Houston bombing campaign worked I'm listening to the imperial comm channel looks the empires force are in disarray all over the planet" Rex said causing Hera to smirk and kanan to chuckle
" Looks like the General Houston contacted other military forces across the planet for full scale assaults on the empire forces across the planet" ahsoka said as she looked over the empire's comm channel
" Mayday! Mayday! this Alpha 2-5 we are pinned down near the Houston shopping center we are in need of immediate air support how copy over!?" A soldier shouted through the comms
" Alpha 2-5 this captain syndulla of the ghost we are enroute to your position how long can you hold out!" Hera shouted back at the soldier through the comms
" roger that Captain but be advise artillery strike is inbound so you better hurry the hell up were sending up a flare to give you are position how copy over!?" the soldier said to hera
" Solid copy 2-5 just hang on will be there" Hera said as she piloted the ghost and then a flare was seen being shout in the air
" Hera I see the flare" Sabine said as she pointed
" Good eye Sabine" Hera said as see flew the ghost towards Alpha 2-5 position unaware about what they will face might haunt them for the rest of there lives.
( Cliffhanger sorry for taking so long to update I've been busy getting ready for finals but I hope this chapter will make up for it)
