Chapter 11: The Casket Girls

*The Compound-The Courtyard, Morning*

Klaus is holding a meeting, to celebrate their victories and defeats. Klaus is sitting across from Caroline. Marcel is sitting next to Klaus and the other vampires are sitting, at the middle of the table, across from each other, looking up at Klaus, as he makes a toast. 'Let us begin, with a toast: To our shared gift. Immortality! After, a thousand yrs, one might feel like, life is keenly felt, for it's beauties and it's sorrows, diminish in time. But as vampires, we more deeply, than humans, could possibly, even imagine." Severs and waiters come out and cut the wrists with knifes, "Insatiable need? Exquisite Pain? In our victories and our defeats?" Their blood drops into the champagne glass. "To my city, To my home again, may the blood, never cease to flow... Marcel interrupts him and raises his glass to Klaus in agreement and says, "And, the party never end."

Diego raises his glass and says, "To New Orleans!" Everybody raises their glass in agreement and takes a sip of their drink. "I understand, that some of you, may have questions, in the recent change of leadership? I invited you here, tonight to assure you, that you are not defeated. No, my intentions moving forward, are to celebrate, what we have, and what Marcel took.... He pauses as he walks over to Marcel and lays a hand on his shoulder. "And built into this... He continues as he walks back over to his seat. "A true community of vampires."

"What bout her, the wolf?" Diego says as he points at Caroline. Caroline responds, "Is there a damn prob, Diego?!" Before Diego, could respond, Klaus interrupts him and walks over to Caroline and says to the vampires, "Will you, let me finish, Diego? Well, you all know, of course, their is one, further matter that, I would like to address..." He pauses and continues and stands behind, where Caroline is sitting. "As many, of you know, Caroline is carrying my child, consequently, I would like it, if you pay her, the appropriate respect. However, I understand, that you all, are concerned, about this, vicious rumor..." He pauses and lays a hand on her shoulder, as she looks up at him and then, back at the vampires. "That, I intend, to use, the blood of our child, to create hybrids; I assure you, I do not!" Caroline smiles and says, "Father of the year?" Klaus then goes, walks back to his seat and says, "It appears, that I'm going to have to, earn your trust... He pauses, when he gets back to his seat and then, continues, "Very well, we'll eliminate, the route of your anxiety. You see, how can I, sire any hybrids; if their are no more wolfs alive, in the Bayou to turn!" Caroline gasps scared, shaking her head and says upset, "What? Nik, no!!!" "So eat, drink and be merry, cause tomorrow, you'll have urselfs, a wolf hunt, have fun and kill them all!" Klaus announces with a smile, as he takes a sip of his drink again.

*Back at The Plantation House*

Rebekah is at the front door, watching men come in and out of the house, taking furniture and other stuff and putting it in a moving truck called, (Ca C'est Bon). "Absolutely not, I paid for that!" Rebekah complains as Elijah comes down the stairs, with a smile on his face and remarks, "Oh, please, you've never paid for anything, in your life!" He then stands next to her. "I hardly see, how that's revelant!" Rebekah responds to him. "Nik, is just punishing us!" Elijah replies, "Well, we've hurt him deeply, it appears, I've been neglecting him, with Kat and Nadia and avoided Caroline. We believed the worst bout him, the one time, when the worst, wasn't actually, the damn truth?" Rebekah admits as Elijah walks out of the door. "Where do you think, that your going?!" Rebekah asks as he turns back to her. "Making sure, that Caroline, doesn't suffer, for our mistakes. She said, that something is coming, she's seen it, with her own eyes and yet, we've feuding, with each other; Niklaus, is feeling vindictive, we cannot, trust that she's save; so let's go!" Elijah admits, informs and announces to her and leaves.

*Back at The Compound*

Caroline is walking around carefully, trying not to get caught and she looks back to see, if anybody is behind her and then, turns back around and Diego is in front of her and he remarks with a smile, "Going somewhere?!" Elijah appears behind him and puts his hand on his shoulder and throws him off to the side and snaps his neck. "Elijah, you shouldn't be here; Nik has his guys, watching me!" Caroline informs. Elijah responds as he looks towards the staircase, as the other vampires, are kicked down the stairs and they groan in pain, on the ground and Rebekah comes down the stairs. "Oh, I wouldn't worry bout them! Come on, we must not rendered, let's get you, somewhere safe!" He walks away and stops and turns back around to her, when she responds and says, "No, you don't have to, worry bout me, I'm fine, I've been deemed, under protection, of by the all mighty Klaus. It's the werewolves, that need help!" Elijah walks up to her. "Nik, ordered a wolf hunt, as some jacked up, peace offering to Marcel's lackeys, you have to help them!" Rebekah responds and remarks, "Out there, in the Bayou? Do we, look like, a bloody vampire, rescue squad? I think, that you should be, grateful that, we came to save you!" Caroline replies, "Listen, Bekah, all my damn life, I've ever wanted to know, who my family was; just as I do, I find out, that there out there, in the Bayou, Nik orders them, killed!" Rebekah closes her eyes for second and then, opens them again and looks at her as Caroline looks to Elijah and responds, "You want to help me, help my people, please!" Caroline begs and Elijah and Rebekah share the same glare.
