Chapter 22: The Battle of New Orleans

*The Compound-Klaus's Bedroom-Morning*

Caroline is awake and sees that Klaus is still asleep and he's having a nightmare bout Mikael and he wakes up and gasps and Caroline wraps her arm around his waist and says, "Relax, it was just a bad dream, k?" He sits up and nods. She sits up and gets off of the bed and stands and Klaus grabs her wrist and she turns to him with a smile and says, "We have to get ready for Kieran's Wake!" He responds and says, "We will, now sit back down?" She nods and lays back down next to him and he lifts her shirt up a little bit and starts kissing her abdomen and then looks up at her and says, "I've missed you." She smiles and he spreads her legs open and starts kissing between her legs and she sighs happy.

*A Tour*

Genevieve and the girls take a walk and Genevieve speaks and says, "New Orleans is full of ghosts, our dead is always here hovering! When supernatural creatures die they're doomed to spend eternity alone while watching the world go on without them!" They continue walking down the street and Genevieve continues speaking and says, "Of course that's not the case for the Ancestral witches, we linger in a different way, consecrated through the earth and replenishing it's power!" Davina responds and asks, curious, "What bout humans?" Genevieve responds and says, "Some find peace, some don't!" She turns to them and says, "I have to make an appearance at the priest wake, you three head back to the Lycee! Take some time to think bout those spirits amongst to be walking along side you!" Davina and Abagail leave, but Monique stays and walks with Genevieve and says, "I don't know why were supposed to be care bout Kieran O'Connell?" She responds and says, "We care because when a pillar of our community passes Monique, we call a cease fire and pay our respects!" Monique smiles and suggests, "Or you just want to see Klaus! You too are getting pretty cozy!" She responds and says, "I need the Mikaelsons to trust me so I can get close enough..." Monique cuts her off and says, "To kill their baby!" They stop walking and Geneviève turns to her pissed off and says, "To fulfill my obligation to our Ancestors!" Monique glares at her and Genevieve continues and says, "Go home, Monique!" Monique watches as Genevieve leaves.

*Back at The Compound- Klaus's Bedroom*

Caroline gets up and goes over to her bag and pulls out a white lacy dress and a black jacket and white boots and then goes to the bathroom to change and then she asks, "How do I look, Nik?" He responds and says, "Beautiful, love." He gets up and goes to his closet and picks out a black shirt and a black jacket and black pants and black dress shoes and then gets dressed and he leaves and goes to Rousseau's.

*Rousseau's*

Klaus is seating down at table with a glass in his hand and takes a sip of his drink and Cami sits down across from him and says, "Hey, earth to you!" He looks up at her and sees a scar on her arm and she responds with a smile and says, "It'll heal, I wanted to thank you..." He cuts her off and says, "Unless you came equipped with the means to fill this, no additional platitudes in the sorrow!" She responds and says, "K, I'm in a crap mood, because my uncle just died and people are partying like it's Mardi Gras! What's your excuse?" She smiles and he still doesn't say anything and she asks worried and concerned now, "Klaus seriously, what's wrong?!" He responds and admits to her, "I'm having these dreams of my dead father!" She looks at him shocked and before she could say anything, he continues and scoffs, "Diagnosis unnecessary love, I've got this one covered, my fears of fatherhood are scarring my child as my father scarred me, it's typically clichéd!" She responds and says, "Truthfully, I'm glad that you've finally said it out loud that your going to be a dad!" Marcel comes into the room and Klaus sees him and says to her, "Ik more bout the trials of fatherhood then you might imagine Cami?!" She looks over at Marcel and then back to him and says, "And it worked out so well for you the first time, why change a thing?" She gets up and leaves.
