Chapter 3: We're Being Punked, Pedro?

*Nighttime-14th Century, France*

Two guys, witches are walking through the woods at nighttime, holding torches. They walk out the trees and sees a table layed out with priceless artifacts. One of which is the silver blade with runic markings and a black circular handle. They walk over to the table and comments bout the blade in shock and then they're bout to touch it but the see a gargoyle stature in hidden the bushes asleep and the first guy comments to the other scared, "The Guardian? We must leave this place at once!" The second guy protests and remarks, "Fairytales, for children... The first guy cuts him off and retorts, "As was the knife!" The second guy puts his hand out to knife bout touch it and the gargoyle awakes and growls behind them and the guys sees the gargoyle gone from his spot in the bushes. The first guy comments, "He has awoken!" They turn around and the gargoyle stabs the first guy with his sword multiple times and he's dead. The second guy takes a step back, drops the torch on the ground, puts his hands out and chants a fire spell, "Ignarious. Ignarious!" It doesn't work and he pleads with the gargoyle as it walks past the fire without getting burnt, "I beg you, Mercy?" The gargoyle kills him anyway.

*Flashback Ends*

*Virginia, Mystic Falls, The Saltzman Boarding School: For the Young and Gifted- Nighttime, Alaric's Office*

Alaric is seated behind his desk, going through a big book researching information bout the knife. He looks at it and then turns a page in the book bout the knife and reads it and sighs, "Goulash? Why does it always have to be goulash?" The stature is watching him near the window behind the trees and Alaric hears a rustling sound and looks behind him and doesn't see anything and continues working.

*Morning- Dorian's Classroom*

Dorian is teaching his class and Faye, Tatia, Riker, Lizzie, Josie, Isabella, MG, Tyrone and the other students are sitting on the floor holding each others hands doing a exercise, working together. Dorian speaks and says sternly, "Alright gather together?" They do and he continues, "Chain spells are bout the fluidity of energy from a witch to a witch." They say nothing and Dorian looks around his class and doesn't sees Penelope and comments, "Where's Penelope Park?" Lizzie speaks and says with a smile, "Lady cramps, Mr. Williams." He nods and apologizes with a smile, "Sorry I asked." Lizzie smiles and Josie looks down and Dorian continues and remarks bout the class, "Well this unharmoniously group makes for an uneven flow!" The students laugh and Dorian sighs and then looks up and sees a letter magically appear over to him and Josie comments, "Uh-oh, whose in trouble with the headmaster?" Faye speaks and remarks to Lizzie and Josie, "Probably the people who started a public brawl with Mystic Falls High?" Lizzie glares at her. Dorian reads it out loud to the class and says with a smile, "Lizzie Saltzman, Josie Saltzman, Faye Claire Mikaelson! Off you go?" Faye looks shocked and they all leave upset.

*The Sarah Salvatore Memorial Library*

Alaric is straighten up the books and grabs two important ones. Faye, Josie and Lizzie walks after him upset. Lizzie speaks and asks confused, "This makes no sense dad, why are we being punished?" He responds and says, "Because you started a brawl at a charity football game and put risk of exposure of what we're really doing here!" They continue walking after him and Lizzie comments bout last night, "But you weren't mad last night?" He laughs and retorts, "Oh I was mad last night, but my undying love for my daughters just out-triumphed my rage!" Lizzie walks around the brown banister and Josie and Faye sit on a table behind Alaric as he continues with a smile to Lizzie, "I volunteered everybody who was at the game, so stop complaining!" He turns to the others and remarks with a smile, "Your lucky it's just community service and not actual jail time!" He smiles and Lizzie speaks and says, "Can I at least offer a re-bundle in my defense if it pleases the court?" He smiles and puts his hand out for her to continue her claims, "First of all, I was provoked. My response was totally proportional considering the levels of abuse that I... I was forced to endure... Faye laughs and Alaric looks at Lizzie with a stern face and she cracks under pressure and says, "Secondly, if anyone should take the blame it's Josie!" Josie looks at her upset and retorts in disbelief and in shock, "What?!" Lizzie continues and says to Josie upset, "I'm sorry, I totally cracked under duress, but if you had just let Ty catch the ball... Josie looks away and Alaric cuts her off and retorts, "You'd still be in trouble!" Faye comments with a smile to Lizzie, "Nice job, throwing your sister under the bus!" Lizzie glares at her and Josie nods and says to Faye sad, "Thank you Faye." Lizzie looks upset and Alaric continues, "The bus leaves in three minutes and I'd like all three of you to be there, working together. Today, harmoniously and without drama. End of debate!" Faye speaks and retorts confused with a smile, "I wasn't even at the stupid game! So why am I being punished?" He smiles and retorts, "You know what you did?!" Lizzie smiles and Alaric continues, "Now go all of you!" Lizzie and Josie leave in different directions upset with each other and Faye stays behind. She speaks and says pissed off with Alaric, "Seriously?!" He turns to her and retorts pissed off now, "What part of me sending you with them, was not clear?" She responds and admits, "I want to help you with the research?" He shakes his head and says sternly, "Dorian has a Masters degree in Library Science. I think the adults have it covered!" She takes a step forward and retorts upset, "That's not fair! You only play by the grown up rules when you don't need something from me!" He crosses his arms and looks at her with a stern face and retorts not in the mood, "I'm spinning rite now, Faye!" She glares at him upset as he continues, "I can't drag you or anyone else any further into this, until I figure out what's going on? K, so rite now, I need you to be a kid, keeping the dragon sized secret today, while I get answers, understood?!" She says nothing upset and hurt, but nods.
