Chapter 15: I'll Tell You a Story?

*In the Morning, Fort Valley, Atlanta Ga.- TRIAD Industries- The Lair*

Landon is tied down in a chair with rope, but the handkerchief is off. Upstairs in the Lair, Veronica and David standing next to each other and they watch over Landon and they talk. Veronica is wearing, a grey blazer, brown blouse and a grey skirt, with brown heels. David is wearing, a black suit and dress pants. She speaks and informs him sternly, "Usual debrief, before you throw him in the pit, find out where he's from, family, or any other Phoenix's, he's willing to give up? And then ask him bout the knife... David looks astonished and retorts in shock, "As in the knife?" She nods and retorts, "When I was at the school, I heard that he had tried to steal it and I'd like to know why he wanted one of the locks to the Pit? Shouldn't be too difficult, since you recorded a voicemail with minimal resistance!" He looks at Landon sad and then she starts to leave and takes out her access card and swipes it on a security lock, it activates and he watches her get in the elevator and she smiles at him and he smiles at her too. She goes to her office and he hits four numbers to the code of the surveillance tapes and then grabs the key to the camera and it turns off automatically and then he grabs a black binder and goes downstairs and walks in down the steps and sees Landon trying to break free and he smiles. He throws the key in the pit and its gone and Landon notices and David comments with a smile, "Nobody's watching us now!" Landon looks scared and David walks over to a table and lays his binder down near his research, a brown book, and sketches. Landon then speaks and tries to reason with him, "I already told your guys that I don't know anything... David looks over to him and says nothing and then brings a tray of equipment over in front of him and Landon continues, "You can kill me, but I'll just come back to life in a burst of flames and they'll be a lot of ash to clean up and I... David is taking out the drawings and he lays them down facing towards Landon in two rows as he continues, "When I come back, I'm not going to know anything!" David smiles and admits sternly, "I'm not here to interrogate you Landon... He looks at him surprised as he continues, "In fact, I'm here, so you can finally get some answers!" Landon says nothing still in shock and David walks over to him and undo's the restraints and Landon glares at him still scared. David takes a step back from him and back behind the tray and continues, "When we created the three locks to Malivore, we also created decoys too, so no one would know which three artifacts are the thing... Landon looks at the drawings and sees a gold chalice, a polka dot ax, a head sculpture of a woman laughing and another vase. David continues, "I think you might be able to help me with that?" Landon back up at him and says nothing as David continues and asks, "Is one of these artifacts calling to you?" Landon says nothing and looks back at the drawings as David cotinues, "Like a whisper?" Landon looks back at him and retorts sternly and informs him serious, "A. I don't feel anything and B. Even if I did, I'm not helping the people that kidnapped me!" David smiles and retorts sternly, "Oh well, this isn't for TRIAD, no. They want these artifacts to stay hidden and to be inescapably clear, I want them found. Then I'm going to toss them into the Pit to unlock Malivore!" He smiles and Landon nods, retorts and remarks with a smile, "Wow... Um thanks for the honesty. That's refreshing, but now I'm really not going to help you!" David nods and then admits with a smile, "I'll tell you a story and then at the end of it, you can decide whether to help me or not?!" Landon responds and retorts in disbelief, "You think a story is going to change my mind?" He nods and reveals with a smile, "This one will... He looks at him confused as David continues, "Because it's a story bout your father!" Landon looks at him astonished and in shock and David smiles.

*Mystic Falls, Virginia, Morning- The Saltzman Boarding School: For the Young and Gifted- Faye's Bedroom/Lizzie and Josie's Bedroom*

Faye is wearing, her school uniform and looking at a blank white canvas and she has artist block. In Lizzie and Josie's room, Lizzie is getting ready for the day. She's wearing, a light blue silk sweater, black pre-ripped jeggings and black boots. She's standing at the dresser and looks into the mirror, putting her earrings in and then she walks over to Josie's bed and sees it still made and she sighs sad.
