Chapter 3: Haunter of Ruins

*Caroline and Claire's Safehouse-Morning*

Klaus is wearing, a grey sweater and black jeans. He is standing outside on the porch and looks at the beautiful garden and Kol asks sternly and impatient, "What's the hold up?" Kol is wearing, a blue shirt and black jeans and walks over to him, Rebekah, Elijah, and Freya and continues, "We rescued Nik now why aren't we on a private jet to St. Germaine?" Rebekah is wearing, a navy blue top and grey leggings and grabs a glass of orange juice from the waiter and so does Kol and he sees Elijah reading a newspaper and takes it from it and remarks, "You can catch up on the last five yrs when were on our way... Elijah glares him as he continues and sits the paper down to the side and continues, "I assure you, you haven't missed much!" Elijah is sitting, in a chair, wearing, a white shirt and a black vest and black pants and responds and says, "Circumstances have changed. We will leave here soon enough!" Rebekah retorts and says sternly, "We have nieces to consider?" Kol sighs and takes a sip of his drink and Freya is sitting, next to Elijah wearing, a navy blue and silver tank top and grey leggings. She stands and agrees with Kol, "We need to put an ocean between us and Marcel Gerard as soon as possible!" She stands near Rebekah. Klaus shakes his head and protests, "Were not going anywhere today! I want 2 days of peace to spend with my daughter and my niece before we uproot them!" Freya retorts, "Any delay, is a risk!" He responds and yells pissed off, "2 days! We're in the middle of nowhere. The house is cloaked. Nobody followed us and I'm not asking!" Caroline walks out, wearing, a green blouse and black jeans and comes outside with Faye whose wearing, a green dress with a yellow floral imprint and Caroline says with a smile, "Everybody look whose awake." Elijah and Kol stand near Rebekah and Faye smiles at them and Klaus smiles and takes a step forward and she says nervous and scared, "Hello?" He responds and says, "Hello." Faye turns to Caroline and asks, "Mom, can I go play in the garden?" Caroline nods and says, "Yeah, sure." Faye walks past him and down the stairs and into the garden and Klaus sees and then turns to Caroline upset, now and she sighs.

*New Orleans- St. Anne Church- Morning*

Vincent is standing near a burning cauldron and throws the book that he found in the safe and pours lighter fluid on it and the fire grows.

*Flashback- The Sinclair's Residence- Nighttime*

Vincent is standing near the window and looks outside and his bird cage is near the wall and he hears the door open and sees Eva walk in, wearing a blue see thru dress and smiles at him and he asks concerned and worried, "Eva, come on where have you been? I was getting worried!" She smiles and sits a bag down on the table from Rousseau's and says, "I picked up your favorite jumbo for dinner." She leans against the table happy and says, "Vince I have news?" He points at the bag and retorts upset, "You was in the Quarter? Come on Eva, that's Marcel Gerard's territory!" She sighs and looks down as he continues, "And you know it's not safe for witches there... He walks over to her and continues, "The death rate is growing by the day!" She walks over to him and retorts, "It isn't safe anywhere. Giving the Tremé is crawling with vampires... She cups his face and continues, "Why don't we leave?" He shakes his head as she continues and pleads with him, "We could go anywhere? There's a whole world out there with no Marcel to worry bout!" He takes a step back and says, "Eva, baby... He walks past her and continues, "I can't keep having this conversation with you alright?" She turns to him upset as he continues, "K this is my home.... He leans against the table and she smiles and informs him sternly, "This is bigger than the two of us Vince... He looks confused and she explains with a smile, "I was in the Quarter to see Sophie Deveraux... He looks shocked as she continues, "She has a gift, you know? She knows when a women is pregnant." She smiles and he laughs and walks over to her and says with a smile, "I'm going to be a daddy?" She nods and he kisses her and wraps his arm around her waist and she responds to the kiss and, he picks her up and spins her and she laughs and he puts her down and she smiles at him and says, "Your going to be a great dad." He kneels and feels her abdomen and she continues and says sternly, "But not here.... He stands and grabs her hands and says sad, "Look baby where ever we go? Our baby is going to be part of our bloodline. And it won't be at peace if it's not connected to it's heritage!" She responds and retorts, "A heritage that could get us all killed for being just who we are!" He shakes his head and says, "No! Because when I was growing up this place was a paradise for witches? This was the best place in the world to be for a kid and if you'd have a little magic in your bones. And that's the New Orleans I want to remember. And that's the New Orleans I want to raise our kid in?" She says nothing in disbelief and he continues and pleads with her, "Give me six months Eva?" She looks at him upset and he continues, "Give me six months and I promise you, I will find a way to make sure Marcel Gerard does not step foot in the Tremé! Let me do that please? Let me do that for you? Baby let me do that for my kid?" She smiles, nods and says, "K."
