Chapter 9: The Map of Moments

*Arkansas, Morning- Mikaelson Safe House*

Rebekah is putting a Christmas wreath on the door with joy outside of the house. She goes inside and sees Elijah standing near the fireplace and says with a smile, "Well isn't this place rather nice?" She smiles carrying a wine bottle in her hand and says, "Nik must have compelled a wine lover to keep it up cause I found a 2005 pipe ado!" Elijah responds sternly and pissed off and says, "I appreciate the sentiment Rebekah but I do realize when I'm being handed with kid gloves!" She seats the bottle down on the table and asks, "How are you feeling?" Elijah turns to her and says, "Patronized!" He looks down at Faye and Tatianna who are both in the same crib and they're smiling and playing with their toys in their hands. He looks over to Rebekah and says sternly, "I am here to protect you and Claire!" She responds and says, "Ik you mean to Elijah!" He responds and says, "And yet you find it necessary to rendered me unconscious to bring me here!" She retorts and says, "Well you weren't urself? And I needed to get us out of that Dinner!" He looks at her upset and she continues and says, "Claire is upstairs sleeping and I would like to know what happened back there?" Elijah responds and says, "Idk!" He looks down at the babies and says, "Niklaus sent me to protect Faye and Tatianna..." He sits down in a chair and watches them play and continues, "My job is to keep them safe!"

*New Orleans, Louisiana-The Compound, Morning*

Davina and Kol are using a poppet doll and turning it upside downward over a cauldron and holds each others hands and chants, "Se Protéger sa scandalum subsisto. Se pa toi inquia subsisto l'écoulement. Subsisto venenatis impedit l'écoulement!" Davina speaks and says, "It's finished! But I'm worried that it's not enough to protect Cami from Esther's magic!" Kol responds with a smile and says, "I think I might know a way to distract you from your troubled mind!" She smiles and Marcel appears and says sternly, "You can take this seriously or I can lock you in a coffin like your brother Finn, if you prefer?!" Kol responds and says, "No, I prefer you to bogger off! This spell needs time to cook in peace!" Marcel protests and says, "Cami doesn't have time, Esther can jump anyone into her body rite now!" Kol responds bored and says, "Yea, yea but she's not going to jump anyone into her body, she's going to jump Rebekah who happens to be miles away! But bad news Marcel, I'd be testy too if my old ex was bout to jump into my new ex! I would think that would be a bit uh..." Cami comes into the room wearing a beige rain coat and stands near Marcel and says, "Awkward?" Kol smiles and says, "I was going to say Kinky!" Marcel grabs him by the collar of his shirt and Cami interferes and pulls Marcel away from him and says, "I appreciate the chivalry Marcel, but he'll have an easier time protecting me if he's alive!" Marcel lets go of him and Kol smiles and Marcel turns to them and says, "Keep working!" Cami and Marcel go inside and Davina asks annoyed, "What is it with you too?!" Kol smiles and says, "It gets a bit of old, playing old man out in the whole family!" Kol seats down in a chair at the table and continues, "Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah, were always a party of three. No room for me at the table, but always seemed to be room for Marcel!" He continues and asks as she wipes her hands off, "Do you remember the diamond I showed you? The baby one?" She nods and he continues, "Well the one for the dagger spell has to be bigger. In 1914 I had it in my hand and then Marcel ratted me out to Klaus and he took it and he probably bloody well kept it!" She smiles and seats on his lap and says, "So let's steal it back? It's a good chance to snoop!" He smiles and says, "It's like your in mind Davina Claire?" She laughs.

*The Bayou*

Mikael is ripping out werewolves' hearts viciously and violently and then sees a crow transform into Esther and she comments to the dead werewolves, "Your making a mess out of my werewolf centuries, Mikael!" He smiles and comments, "Your up to your old tricks!" He stands and says, "Esther, I missed you wife! Have you missed me?" She smiles and says, "As much as you missed me, I imagine?!" She takes a step forward and he walks over to her and says, "Well that explains why you pulled your lover back from the Other Side without such a thought of me?! I will slaughtered every single wolf I see, until I'm taken to the dog you sought fit to bring back from the dead!" She responds and says sadly, "You can stop looking for Ansel, Klaus killed him!" She walks past him and says, "Klaus may not be your blood but he has certainly picked up some stuff from you along the way!" Mikael yells pissed off, "Do not mention the bastard son!" She turns to him and says, "Resolution through violence, you are nothing if not consistent! Go ahead strike me, I imagine you've been waited a thousand yrs to do so!" Mikael raises his hand and Esther disappears and laughs back at the Lycee holding a necklace and chants, "Apparaitre apparebis!" She appears behind him and says to him, "Now that you've gotten that out of your system, we have things to discuss bout our children!"
