Chapter 4: Since When Do You Speak Japanese?

*Flashback- Mutsu Province, Japan, 1308- Morning*

A guy with long black hair and black eyes, is sitting, near a lit bonfire, on a brown log. He's sharpening, his sword, with a silver blade to it and it has gold unique, runic markings, on it. Kurutta: The Samurai, is wearing, a olive-green shirt, with goldish brown sleeves to it. A red armor apron, with brown, yellow, white, black beads, design to it. He uses it, to protect him, but also, to carry his two swords in. His brown hat, with a red design on it, is sitting, near him. He's speaking, to an Oni demon and he says sternly, in Japanese and in English, "Īe, yoru wa fuketsuna kiseichū de ryokō shimasu. No, we travel by night, you filthy parasite. Iyana nikutai sūtsu. Disgusting flesh suit! Itsuka anata o koroshimasu. I will kill you one day." He smiles and then continues, "Kokoromiru koto sae dekimasen. You cannot even try." The runic markings, on his sword, glow red, in response to him, by the Oni. He notices and looks surprised now and grabs it. He looks around his surroundings worried and cautiously, now. He sees nothing, and then hears growling sound, coming from the trees, behind him and he looks over, to it and sees a golem. It's Malivore and he stands and takes a step forward and glares at Malivore, prepared and Malivore notices and glares at him. Kurutta speaks and warns him serious, "Hikikaesu! Turn Back! Matawa watashitachi no ikari ni tachimukau, akuma! Or face our wrath, demon!" His eyes glow red, like the sword. Malivore glares at him and doesn't leave. Kurutta notices, upset, puts his mask on and rushes over to him, prepared, with the sword, in his hands and he tries to destroy Malivore, but Malivore consumes him, whole, instead.

*Back in The Present- Mystic Falls, Virginia, Morning- The Town Square*

The town bell tolls. There's a bunch of people, walking through, the town square, talking and conversating, amongst each other. An African American man, with short black hair and black eyes, finds Kurutta, on the ground, unconscious. He goes over to help him and kneels near him and asks concerned, "Hey, man. Are you k?" He rolls him, over to his back and Kurutta opens his eyes and groans in pain, "Ugh." The guy who helped him, has already left and Kurutta gasps, in shock, sits up and takes off his mask and looks around his surroundings, confused and in shock. He feels off and tries to speak, to people and asks serious and frantically now, "Where am I? Who touched me?? Koko wa doko? Dare ga watashi ni furemashita ka??" Nobody listens and ignores him, continue walking. He continues and rushes over to guy and girl and asks sternly, "Please! I must know! Who touched me!? Onegaishimasu! Shitte iru hitsuyō ga arimasu ka? Dare ga watashi ni fureta!?" Everybody thinks, he's crazy and ignores him, again. The guy, who touched him, leaves with a grin and his eyes glow red, from the Oni demon, inside, of him. Kurutta doesn't see him and continues pleading, with people, in Japanese.

*Back at Mystic Falls High- Alaric's Office*

Alaric speaks and makes an announcement, to one of Faye's classes, "Faye Kaine, to the Principal's office." The school bell rings. Alaric is standing, in front, of his desk, holding a white mug, with a picture, of a white wolf, on it, in his left hand and he drinks, with a smile. He's wearing, a dark green blazer, with navy-blue stripes a navy-blue shirt and dark green pants, with navy-blue dress shoes on. Faye walks in, closes the door, comments with a smile and says in shock, "The P.A. system? It's a little dramatic, don't ya think?" Her hair is flowing, in luxurious curls and she's wearing, a dark black top, light blue jeans and short brown boots on, with black laces. She walks in and over to him, as he shakes his head, sits at his desk and recalls with a smile, "Not as dramatic, as the message, Landon left me, saying, he had something urgent, to discuss?" She walks over to the chair and sits across from him, as he continues and asks with a smile, "Anything, you want to share?" She nods and admits sternly, but recalls with a smile, "Only that... I'm pretty sure, that the monsters, are after him, again." He nods and admits upset now, but comments hurt, "And, you didn't think, that that's something, I should know?" She sighs and admits sadly, "More like, I was afraid, of what, you were, going to say, after that?" He shakes his head, sighs sad and says sternly, "Faye. You need, to go back, to The Saltzman Boarding School." She nods, cuts him off and remarks with a smile, "That was it." He nods, continues and admits sternly, "Not for your sake. But for theirs and your cousin's... She glares at him upset, as he continues and retorts with a smile, "Maybe, Landon isn't that, important to you. But if Malivore wants him, we need to, want him, more!" She nods and admits with a smile and says serious, "K, look. I will take care of it, but from a distance!" He sighs, shakes his head and comments confused now, "K. What am I, missing here, Faye? Hmm. You told me, the truth and everything, turned out fine. I believed you and we're back, together. So, what's going on?"
