Chapter 2: Alive and Kicking

*Royal & Dauphine Street-Morning*

Kol is walking down the street and takes an apple without paying for it and uses his magic to make the rest fall on the ground and he sees Davina leaving Second Vinyl Store and gets into a cab. He smiles.

*The Compound*

Elijah walks in and sees wolf prints and sees a trail of dead witches' bodies on the floor and he follows the trail and it leads to Caroline in the bathroom in a tub. He stands near the door and she comments with a smile sensing his presence, "Coming to check up on me!" He responds and says, "You had an eventful evening!" She responds and explains, "I was having a crappy day so Nik took me out to the Cauldron..." She smiles and turns to him and says, "And wouldn't you know we ran into some witches!" He responds and asks, "So would you like me to remove your leftovers!" He steps over one of the dead bodies and over to her and she stands up in the tub and glares at him and he gives her a towel annoyed and pissed off and she takes it and wraps it around her body and says with a smile, "Oh don't judge Lijah, what I did was no worse than Nik's every done!" She takes a step out of the tub and over to him closely and he says sternly, "I would have hoped that you held urself to a higher standard than Niklaus!" She shakes her head and says, "I'm a hybrid now, I have a werewolf temper to go with my new appetite..." She looks over to the dead body and then back to him and says, "And the witches that tried to kill my baby, their worth nothing more than food! Excuse me?!" She walks out of the room and goes to hers to get dressed.

*The Dinner Room*

Elijah speaks with Klaus pissed off and says, "You took Caroline on a witch hunt?!" Klaus is seating in a chair at the brown table and reading a book and explains to him, "I simply wanted to persuade those witches to locate the white oak stake for me and when they proved unable to do so, I let my girl have her fun!" Klaus smiles and Elijah responds sternly and says, "She's growing more savage by the day, can you not see that she's falling apart!" He walks over to him and Klaus remarks, "Perhaps the problem is your damn high standards..." Elijah turns away from him and paces the room as he continues, "Caroline is one of us now being a vampire only exaggerates what you truly are and wolves are wild things!" Elijah stands behind a chair and shakes his head annoyed and disappointed in him now as he continues, "She knows she can't live up to the pretty little picture of her you paint of her in your head, your judgement only hurts her more!" Elijah responds and says sternly and pissed off with him, "I am trying to help her, and I asked you to help her, brother!" Klaus shuts the book pissed off now and stands up and places the book on the table and says with a smile, "I am helping! You should of seen her last night covered in witches' blood and smiling from ear to ear, she is embracing this!" Elijah looks at him shocked as he continues and says, "A little less criticism from you bout Caroline will do just fine!" Elijah responds and says, "Niklaus, the mother of your child deserves much better than just fine!" He pauses and walks over to him and says, "I'm taking her to the Bayou, finding any remaining wolves, perhaps her people can reach her, now more than ever she needs some connection of her humanity, some degree of dignity and if you won't help her and let her destroy herself, then I'll take it from here!" He leaves the room.

*Algiers-Marcel's Loft*

Gia is playing her drums in rhythm happy and Marcel comments to the others, "Gia has proven herself, she knows what she's getting herself into, so she'll be the first one I turn! Everybody else I need to make sure ya'll can control your blood lust, the emotional ups and downs, the solitude!" Elijah appears and listens to his announcement.

Marcel walks over to him and says, "Elijah, I didn't expect to see you on this side of the river?!" Elijah responds and says, "Didn't expect to see you rebuilding a new vampire community, I guess were both full of surprises!" Marcel smiles and says, "My community was fine until Klaus had the brilliant idea to make moonlight rings, now that harvest girl is making more offering them to the wolves in exchange for their allegiance and the wolves are just kneeling at her feet! The Quarter has become a dangerous place and you, your the last true vampire left, if you ask me your better off joining my community, maybe that's why your here!"
