Chapter 9: What Was Faye Doing in Your Dreams?

*Fort Valley, Ga.- Morning- Triad Industries*

David is wearing, a navy-blue suit and he is talking to a security guard bout Seylah. The guy reveals to him, "There's no record of an employee named Seylah. She worked here?" David sighs and takes out the photo of her and shows it to him and comments bout the Malivore necklace symbol, "Well I can't think of any other reason why she has our logo around her neck?" The guy nods and continues searching on the computer and then David says with a smile, "I need access to the backroom archives?" The guy looks at him shocked and shakes his head and retorts sternly, "Access requires a password? Only the highest employers know the..." David smiles and admits, "Echo 477 Kilo Fistula Vitam." The security guy opens the door to the backroom and David remarks with a smile, "That wasn't so hard, was it?" He walks in and sees a lot of shelves filled with boxes of people's files and looks for Seylah's. He goes down the, 'S' section and opens the cabinet and looks for her file and finds and it reads out loud, 'Absorption date, 20 yrs ago.' "How the hell were you here last night?" David hears the door open and he slips the file in the back of his pants pocket and covers it up with his jacket. The Security comes back there and asks, "Did you find what you were looking for?" David responds and retorts, "No. I guess, I made a mistake." The guy nods and escorts him out.

*Mystic Falls, Virginia, Nighttime- 12:00 PM.- The Saltzman Boarding School: For the Young and Gifted-Pedro's Bedroom*

Pedro is asleep in bed and he starts having, a nightmare of a woman, wearing, a black lace dress and veil to cover her face. She has long claw-like nails and she hovers over him about to attack him and he wakes up screaming scared and the other kids in their bunks sleeping, wakes up and one of the girls say to him, tired, "Go back to sleep Pedro, it was just a bad dream!"

*2:00 AM.- Alaric Office*

Alaric and Faye are still talking bout the Chihuahua relic and Landon. Faye is seating on his desk and says whilst doing research, "What happens if the next monster shows up?" Alaric is standing near his book shelf and grabs one and retorts, "It's hard to say.... She looks over to him as he continues, "I've never seen a artifact glow before, what did you hide it?" She smiles and retorts, "I'm not sure if I should tell you!" He looks at her shocked and retorts in disbelief, "Excuse me?" She responds and retorts, "Isn't it helpful if only one of us know where it is?" He shakes his head and admits, "Well one, of us should be the adult!" She gets off the desk and stands and remarks with a smile, "Funny? Well I decided that it'd be the one with powers?" He smiles and looks away from her and she continues and asks, "What do we tell everybody else? We should probably warn them before a cyclops ruins our exam week?!" He walks over to her and retorts, "We should start with some form of the truth?" She responds and retorts, "What if the truth is the one time you can't say?" He nods and retorts in disbelief, "Are sure you want to keep all of this from Landon? I understand that you want to protect him... She nods and admits, "He's been wondering bout his mother his whole life, he finally meets her and then she kills herself? If I can keep him from knowing what that feels like, then it's worth it!" He smiles and she continues, "Look It's my secret to keep and ik Tatia and Riker will keep it to themselves as well. Dr. Saltzman please?" He responds and says, "K." She nods and says with a smile, "Thank you."

*The Grand Hall- A Meeting*

Tatia, Riker are sitting, near each other at the brown table. Tyrone, and MG are standing near each other. All the other students are surrounded near each other and sitting, at tables. Alaric speaks standing on the staircase and makes a announcement, "Yesterday I came in the possession of another Malivore item... Landon and Rafael are seating near each other and Landon looks around for Faye and doesn't see her. "With my hope of trying to find a method of containment, to avoid another monster? With me arranging a emergency meeting, I guess you can see how well that went?" The students complain and Landon speaks and says to Rafael, "Do you see Faye anywhere?" He looks around and then shakes his head to him as Alaric continues, "Rest assure you as a precaution, Sherriff Donovan has opened the doors to the second Lockwood Mansion. Mr. Williams is now in the process of evacuating the students of the lower grades... Tyrone speaks and says tired, "Why don't we just evacuate the damn artifact?!" Alaric responds and retorts, "Because we're much more higher equipped to handle the arrival of a monster. Once we know what we're dealing with and the problem is contained, then we can reassess what to do with the relic. If any of you like to evacuate, please talk to Dorian or Emma? However exam week will continue as scheduled where ever you are!" They complain upset and pissed off and Alaric smiles and retorts, "Ik. Ik, I'm sorry, I can't exactly call a state of accreditation board or explain canceling it because of monsters? We'll get through this, try to get some rest? Goodnight!" He leaves and MG looks over to Tyrone and retorts, "Are you, evacuating?" Tyrone shakes his head and retorts with a smile, "Hell no man, I got four exams in the morning. I need my beauty rest!" MG laughs.
