Chapter 8: The Kindness of Strangers

*Back in Mystic Falls Virginia-Claire's House-Afternoon*

Tatianna just got of the shower and finishes shampooing her hair and then combs it. She walks out of the bathroom wearing a black jacket vest with no shirt underneath and black see thru jeggings and black boots. Then she goes downstairs to the kitchen and sees Vanessa seating at the counter and eating her half of the grilled cheese sandwich that she made for them and Tatia seats down next to her and eats her sandwich. Vanessa finishes eating and looks over to her and asks sternly bout earlier with Riker, "Tatia why was Riker here earlier?" Tatia sighs and seats her sandwich down on the plate and looks over to her and explains, "He wanted to talk to me bout our relationship... She cuts her off and retorts sternly, "Tatia, he hurt you, why are you trying to forgive him?!" Tatia responds and says, "Mom, I-I know I shouldn't, but it's just if he hadn't of been working with Greta? We would still be together... Vanessa nods in understanding as she continues to state her claim, "Before I even knew he was, he told me that he didn't mean to hurt me intentionally and I guess I still believe that. Look mom, what I'm saying is I don't forgive him, but I-I want to give him a second chance. Please say something?" Vanessa looks over to her and cups her face with her hands and says with a smile, "K Tatia, just be more careful with him alright and if he rapes you or drugs you again? Your done with him. This is his last chance, K?!" Tatia nods in understanding and hugs her and says grateful, "Thank you mom." Vanessa hugs her and then lets go and says serious and informs her, "I still have to tell Claire bout this, but instead of you going to his place? I want him to spend the night here, k?!" Tatia nods in understanding and says, "K, I'll text him to come over." Vanessa nods and continues, "And your mom may not be k with you and him still being together after what he did to you alright?!" She nods and says, "I understand." She finishes up her sandwich and then goes back upstairs to her room and lays down on her bed.

*A Few Hours Later-Nighttime*

Vanessa is upstairs in her room laying down under the covers of her bed. Downstairs, Claire walks in and shuts the door behind her and locks it and then she takes her black jacket off and goes upstairs to her room and walks in and sees Vanessa still awake and rushes over to her and hugs her and Vanessa says happy, "I'm glad your back!" Claire lets go of her and says, "Same here, I've missed you." Vanessa sits up and says, "I missed you too, but there's something I have to tell you and you may not like it?" Claire sits on the bed in front of her and asks concerned and worried, "What is it?" Vanessa responds and reveals, "It was Riker that took our daughter... Claire looks at her shocked as she continues and admits, "He drugged her and raped her. She's feeling a little bit better now." Claire nods and says relieved, "K good, I should go talk to her?" She gets up and starts for the door, but Vanessa flashes in front of her and stops her and says, "Riker came here this morning and he and Tatia talked and she doesn't really forgive him, but she's willing to give him a second chance." Claire looks at her shocked and says sternly, "Please tell me you didn't... didn't allow it?!" Vanessa looks away and Claire comments in shock, "You allowed it?" Vanessa nods and says sternly, "He's coming over here to spend the night with her. I told Tatia to be more careful when around him and if he hurts her again, there are no more chances and she understands!" Claire nods and says in defeat with a smile, "K, and I agree. I still want to see my daughter now?" Vanessa opens the door and lets Claire leave and she goes to Tatia's room and knocks on the door and Tatia opens it and looks her shocked and hugs her and says, "Your back. I missed you mom." Claire hugs her and says, "Ik and I missed you too, honey." They stop hugging and Claire cups her face with her hands and says sternly, "Ik bout happened to you and I'm so sorry. I'm k with you giving him another chance. Invite him over?" Tatia looks at her shocked and says happy, "Thank you and I will." Claire leaves and goes back goes to her room.

*A Few Minutes Later*

Tatia is laying on her bed wearing black headphones and listening to music and then sees Riker come in from her window wearing all black clothes and shoes and she looks over to him with a smile and takes her headphones off and seats it on her nightstand near her bed. He sits in front of her and says, "I missed you." She responds and says, "Ik. Look, I don't forgive you, but I'm willing to give you another chance? You can't ever hurt me again... like that, k?" He nods in understanding and says relieved, "K. I won't, I promise." She lays down on her pillow under the covers and he lays down next to her and brings her body closer to him and kisses her and she responds to the kiss and then wraps her leg around his waist and rolls on top of him and continues kissing him and he rest his hands on her waist and he seats up and she cups his face with her hands and then he stops for a sec and she looks at him confused and sad and he comments with a smile, "I'm not done, were just getting started!" She laughs and he turns her nightlight on and then faces back to her and kisses her again and she responds to the kiss and then he flashes and switch positions so she's underneath him and then starts kissing her neck and unzippins her vest and she takes his shirt off and throws it and it lands on the floor and he continues kissing her neck and then she feels his right hand slide inside her pants and she gasp in shock and grabs onto his arm and says, "Hey, can we stop baby? I'm starting to get tired." He nods and says, "That's fine, we'll finish this in the morning." He removes his hand and lays back down next to her and she turns her nightlight off and then lays her head back down on the pillow and he wraps his arm around her waist and then they fall asleep.
