Chapter 21: Fire with Fire

*Back at Lafayette Cemetery-Nighttime*

Rebekah is standing behind the alter and says to Davina and Vincent nervous, "Alright then, typical bit of witchy business, how difficult can it be?" Vincent stands up and walks over to her and says, "Now remember the hard part was linking urself to the kids. But now since it's your body you just have to unlink urself. Read what I wrote, aba ca dobra, the link is severed." She responds and says, "Lovely?" She grabs Davina's hands.

*French Quarter*

A crowd of people are dancing and celebrating in a parade happy. A girl and guy leaves the crowd and walks down an alley and Klaus appears in front of them and says, "Good evening, I wondering if you can help me? I'm feeling a bit famished?" The guy responds and says, "I'm sorry mate, but I don't have any change?" Klaus nods and laughs and says, "That's fine mate, I'll just help myself!" He bites him in the neck.

*Back at Lafayette Cemetery*

Davina and Rebekah are chanting. Vincent responds and says, "Your almost there, keep going?" Rebekah gasps and lets go of Davina's hands and asks, "Is it finished?" He responds and says, "One way to find out?" He takes out a pocket knife and gives it to her and she cuts her finger and a drop of blood appears and Davina smiles and shows her that her finger doesn't have any blood on it. They smile.

*Back at The French Quarter*

Klaus bites the girls' neck and drops her body on the ground and Dahlia comments, "You must be hungry? Considering what you've endured?" He responds and says, "I've never been daggered. Never knew that it was such an agonizing experience. It does help explain why my siblings loath me?" She smiles and says, "You'll need your strength for what's to come, I suggest you replenish urself, before the storm?" Dahlia used her magic on the others and Klaus smiles.

*Back at The Compound*

Elijah is standing near the window and Freya is seating on the couch and chanting. Rebekah and Marcel walk into the room and Rebekah informs them, "It's done, I'm delinked to those children and the Covens are most grateful and we even beat the rain!" Elijah responds and says, "I trust that Davina will play her part?" Marcel sighs and says, "Against my better judgement!" She responds and says, "Stop being so over protective. If Davina is made Regent to all Nine of the Covens? She'll be granted the power to resurrect Kol and have all the witches to our cause." He smiles and remarks, "Don't pop the champagne just yet? Dahlia said that she'd come for the baby and now a storm springs up out of nowhere? Do you really think that's a coincidence?" Elijah responds and says, "Regardless of her power is to be dealt with, fortunately we have a weapon!" He smiles and looks over to Freya who glares at him pissed off. Marcel speaks and says, "No offense, but are we really going to put all of our eggs... Freya stands up as he continues, "Into one still kinda of mysterious basket?" She responds and says, "I assure you I am quite motivated to aid in Dahlia's defeat. Particularly now since Elijah has forced me to be the bait!" Elijah responds and says sternly, "And if we should fail? Davina and the witches will take up the task. And at the very least distracting Dahlia long enough for Faye and Caroline to disappear!" He smiles and Rebekah walks over to the window and shuts it and sees blood and says urgent, "Elijah!" He walks over to her and sees it and they go downstairs to the basement and sees Klaus's coffin open without him in it and Rebekah asks, "Where in the hell is he?!"

*Back at The French Quarter*

Klaus lays the last body down on the ground and stands and Dahlia asks, "Have you had your fill?" He smiles and says, "Indeed, I'm beginning to feel like my old self again!"

*Back at The Bayou-Morning*

It's raining outside and Caroline comes outside of the shack wearing a black jacket and hoodie and black leggings and black boots. She walks over to Mary and takes her hood off and Mary asks, "How's the little one?" Caroline responds and says, "Sleeping rite through the storm. Mary, I appreciate you coming, but you should know were going up against?" Mary responds, "Ancient witch wants to steal my grand-daughter, not on my watch!" She holds the sage in her and says, "I brought something that might come in handy. In my youth, wolves and witches were at peace. A Voodoo Queen, ik showed me how to use herbs to show when magic is at work. By burning a combination of Solomon's seal and snapdragon, one is able to detect the use of magic. If the herbs give off a white smoke, then everything is clear; a black smoke indicates that there is a hex in the air, and if the smoke is red, then there is serious and dangerous magic afoot." The smoke turns black and she continues, "Just what I thought, this storm ain't natural!" Caroline responds and says, "It's Dahlia, she's trying to pin us down." Jackson walks over to them and says, "The roads on the highways are flooded. The quickest way out of here is on foot through the backroads." Jackson turns to Caroline and asks, "What's wrong?" She explains, "Elijah called, Klaus is gone and we don't know where he is or where he went!" Jackson looks at her shocked and bluntly says, "That settles it, we got to get out of here!" She responds and asks, "What bout the others?"
