Chapter 22: Ashes to Ashes

*Pale River Orchard-Back at The Bayou Lafourche-Nighttime*

Dahlia is still preparing the linking spell with Salt drawn in an infinity symbol, Candles, Blood of targets, and Chalices. Klaus is leaning against the truck and protecting Faye. Dahlia comments, "Your quiet. Are you having misgivings?" She walks from behind the table and he remarks, "I was just trying to find a polite way to ask? What the hell is taking so damn long?" He smiles and she turns to him and says, "Well, we can begin now. Once we've been linked, I'd no longer have to sleep for a hundred yrs again. Your concerns for my status will ease and I'll finally be able to focus on Faye!" Klaus looks over to Faye and then to her as she walks over to them and says with a smile, "I will only need a single drop of her blood?" Klaus stands up blocking her way as she continues, "Then her power will be mine also." He responds and asks looking at Freya laying in the trunk asleep, "What are you going to do bout Freya?" She responds and says, "She served her purpose. So tonight at the moon's apex, I'll end her life. The link with her will be severed and the bond I share with your daughter will become permanent." He smiles and says, "Let's get on with it, shall we?" He walks over to table and she holds his hand and chants the spell, "Med arveno som et svar. Med arveno som et svar..."

*Back at The Compound*

Elijah covers up Gia's dead body with a white cloth sadly and Cami stands and drinks his blood from a chalice. He speaks and says, "Now since you've healed?" He stands up and turns to her and asks pissed off, "What do you mean Niklaus had a plan?" He yells, "We had a plan. A plan that he has mercilessly destroyed!" She responds and says, "Your plan wouldn't of worked Elijah! When Klaus got into my head, he said your plan would fail. So he had to enact one of his own." He responds and asks, "And what might that be?" She responds and says, "He has to get her to link to him."

*Pale River Orchard-Back at Bayou Lafourche*

Dahlia continues chanting, "Med arveno som et svar. Med arveno som et svar, Med arveno som et svar. Med arveno som et svar..."

*Back at The Compound*

Elijah responds and says, "So my brother wishes to bind himself to our enemy? She'll be veraciously indestructible!" She responds and says, "He said that I had to convince you, that everything he had to do, he had to do alone. You have the wrong ingredients to kill Dahlia. He has to buy time before he finds the rite ones!" He responds and asks, "How?"

*Back at The Bayou Lafourche*

The spell finishes and Klaus and Dahlia are linked. He walks over to Faye who coos, "Yea." Dahlia responds and says with a smile, "With your strength, I'd never have to sleep for a century again!" He responds and says, "Perhaps one more nap?" She looks at him confused and he turns to her and daggers himself with the gold dagger and she puts her hand out to stop him and gasps and they both fall down onto the ground asleep. Faye cries sad and Freya wakes up and gasps and takes deep breaths in shock.

*Back at The Compound-Basement*

Marcel lays Eva Sinclair's dead body on the couch and waits for Rebekah to wake up in her original body. He opens her coffin and says, "C'mon? C'mon?" He shakes his head and says sad, "No. It can't end this way! This is not how you die!" He throws a tantrum and Rebekah gasps and seats up and says, "Ugh well, I've always been a sucker for a good display of strength?" He walks over to her and she wraps her arm around his neck and he picks her up and she says, "Fair warning, your still compelled to kill me! You got a hell of a fight on your hands!" He puts her down to her feet and cups her face with his hands and says sternly, "That was one heck of a gamble?" She responds and says, "I didn't have much choice!" They look over to Eva's body and then back at each other and she continues, "With Klaus as a dealer, I don't expect a crappy hand!" He responds and says, "It's not just a bad hand, he rigged the game. He compelled me to hurt you, because he knows what you mean to me." She smiles and cups his face and then walks over to the body and grabs her phone and sees Klaus id calling her and remarks to Marcel, "Well this should be good!"
