Chapter 5: The Axeman's Letter

*1002 A.D. Marseilles Court- Sunset, (Flashback)*

Finn and Elijah are playing horseshoes outside. Klaus is seating on the grass having a picnic and watching Aurora braid Rebekah's hair from afar and smiles at her and Aurora sees him and smiles. Klaus writes a letter to Aurora and says, 'I never meant for you to know me. I never meant to let you in.' Aurora and Klaus kiss in the trees. 'But then I should have not kissed you, not the first time.'

*Aurora's Bedroom-Nighttime*

Aurora is seating on her bed and applying some ointment on her neck and then Klaus comes in and sees her and shuts the door and walks over to the bed and seats in front of her and cups her face with his hand and kisses her. 'Certainly not the second. Their is a light in you so bright, it makes me feel like the man I wish I was and forget the thing I am.'

*In The Hallway*

'I am chained to certain hungers... Lucien and Klaus are feeding on a girl... 'And I've damned another to my fate!' Aurora sees and Klaus looks at her shocked... 'You've seen what we do. We hunt... Lucien flashes over to her and Rebekah appears in front of her to protect her and shows her vampire features and Aurora sees and runs scared... 'We feed. We Kill. But what I am I cannot answer?' Outside, Aurora is laying in the grass and plants of vervain, crying uncontrollably and Klaus sees from afar and gives her the letter and flashes away and it floats over to her and she catches it and reads it... 'My family are the first. Their is no name for it. But I also desire deeply, and I can love as I love you.'

*New Orleans, Louisiana-De Beaucage No. 9 Parfumerie, Morning*

Aurora speaks and says to the girl behind the counter, "It was the most beautiful letter I'd ever received. And I did love him, with all of my heart." Aurora is wearing a red dress and knee high black boots and has a vervain plant in her hand and continues, "But then, eventually our love like the letter crumbled to dust!" She lays the plant down on the counter and grabs a pen and writes a letter for Klaus and gives it to the girl and says sternly compelling her, "Deliver this will you? With my special instruction!" She takes it and Aurora smiles.

*The Compound*

Klaus and Elijah walk in and talk. Klaus speaks and says, "So my first sire wants to kill you? And yours wants to kill me? It makes you regret turning any vampires in the first place!" They continue walking and he responds and says, "Well let's make this to them extremely clear two of them two of... He pauses in shock as he sees vervain and a dead girl on the ground... "Of us..." Klaus walks over to the body and grabs the letter and reads it and then gives it to Elijah who reads and says, "Roses are red, lavender is blue, come find me? Before I find you!"

*A Few Minutes Later*

Klaus looks at the letter again and remarks, "I remember her as a better poet?" Elijah kneels near the dead body and says sternly, "Oh well, I wouldn't say this is the lacking in poetry?" He responds and says, "She wants us to find her?" He throws the paper on the body and says, "So let's!" He starts to leave and Elijah says surprised and comments, "Are you so eager Niklaus?" He turns to him as he continues, "Last time you'd even said her name was a thousand yrs ago? When you told me never to speak it again in your presence!" Klaus responds and retorts, "So I'm supposed to wait and let her leave her calling cards all over my home?" Elijah responds and says, "Theirs something you should know?" Klaus looks at him confused and he explains, "When mother ceased control of my mind unleashing those monstrosities behind the red door, I saw something?" He stands and continues, "Aurora was there!" Klaus takes a step forward to him and says sternly, "If you mean to confess a thousand yr old secret that would divide us after our hard work reconciliation? Their is nothing that you could of done involving her that'll be worse than what she did to me!" Elijah shakes his head and says sternly, "Please do not dismiss this secret... He cuts him off and says, "Whatever it is, it can wait! We have a plate to hear and problems I mean to clear it. If it makes you feel any better? We can kill Aurora together, then neither of us need play her little mind games ever again!" Klaus leaves and Elijah follows.
