Chapter 21: A Closer Walk with Thee

*Saint Anne's Church-Morning*

Father Kieran is praying and says to Sean as he pours some blood from a bottle to a gold cup, "This is the body, this is the blood, may they cleanse me of sin and preserve my soul in life of a ever lasting!" Sean turns to him and gives him the cup and he takes it and Bastianna speaks seating on the bench, "I'm afraid, it's a little late for that, Father!" Kieran turns to her and Sean takes the cup and puts it back on the table. Bastianna gets up and walks over to him and says, "I see you still have your faith!" He responds scared and takes a step back and says, "Stay back!" She continues and walks over to him as he takes a step back and she says, "If only it could save you!" Kieran turns to Sean and Sean slits his throat and Bastianna makes a toast with a smile and says, "To life ever lasting!" Bastianna holds the cup in her hand and says, "Drink!" He responds and says, "Be gone demon!" Cami responds and says, "C'mon just one sip?" Kieran responds, "No!" He grabs her wrist and makes her drop the cup onto the floor and she tries to clean the mess up and he says, "Ik, who you are, you evil bitch!" Josh is holding Kieran by the shoulders to make sure he doesn't do anything and Kieran says to him, "Oh Sean, I tried to help you, I tried to save you, but the city is full of monsters!" Josh responds and says, "Yeah trust me ik!" He turns to Cami and says, "Remind me to never piss off a witch!" Kieran starts trembling in pain and falls on the floor on his back and Cami says to Josh, "Help me get him onto his side!" They do and he stops trembling and looks at Cami and says, "Cami!" She responds and says, "Uncle Kieran!" He shakes his head and moves away from them scared and says, "What do you want from me?!" Cami walks over to Josh and asks, "You saw that rite, it was just for a second but it was him!" Josh responds and says, "Idk Cami, I mean maybe he's still in there beneath all the crazy, but the crazy is pretty thick!" She responds and says, "Maybe he just needs a shock to his system, something to wipe the slate clean! Josh I think I have an idea on how to fix him!"

*Klaus's Office*

Klaus is looking for his mother's grimore book on the shelf and can't finds it and gets frustrated and Elijah appears in the doorway taking a sip of his drink with a smile and comments, "Anything I can help you with?!" Klaus responds and says, "Yes in fact I believe you can!..." Klaus walks over to his other book shelf and continues looking for the book and continues speaking, "I'm looking for a book, big and full with our mother's powerful spells! It appears to have been misplaced!" Elijah sits down at his desk with a smile and says, "How very mysterious!" Klaus responds and says, "Indeed, at first I feared that the witches succeeded in their efforts to obtain it, but considering their last attempt ending with me reliving a large tattooed gentleman of his hands and I began to wonder if the thief wasn't a bit closer to home!..." He pauses and turns to Elijah as he writes in his book saying nothing and Klaus walks over to him and says, "Don't make this harder than it needs to be brother!" Elijah looks over to him and admits, "Well admitally, I did have a theory that your sudden interest in our mother's grimore was somewhat related to whatever foolishness that you've been enacting with the Crescent wolves!" Klaus smiles as he continues, "Therefore I took it upon myself to carefully place it where naughty little fingers cannot pry!" He smiles and Klaus responds disappointed and pissed off and says, "And here I thought you of all people would understand, I am simply tying to help those wolves!..." He pauses and walks over to the desk and says, "Place a meriting to the abused, champion to the underdog, so you'd speak!" Elijah responds with a smile and says, "How splendidly noble of you!" Klaus responds and says, "Have you ever consider like you I'm trying to keep Caroline safe, using our mother's magic to empower her people, so they are capable of protecting her!" Elijah stands up and says, "Unless of course they decide to seek retribution for decades held in exile..." He pause and walks over to filing cabinet and shuts it and looks over to him and says, "And Caroline will find herself in a uprising, one that would only provoke further violence, you see you risk turning New Orleans into a war zone brother, I won't let that happen!" Klaus responds and says, "The triumphs of war were beating long before we returned!" He continues and says, "I suggest you do a little less talking and keep your ears open!" He sits down on the couch with a smile.
