Chapter 22: The Bloody Crown

*Back at The Bridge- Nighttime*

Marcel is still asleep at the bottom of the Mississippi. He wakes up and his eyes glow red and he swims up to the top and walks onto the grass, growls and shows his hybrid features.

*Morning, The Compound- Elijah's Bedroom*

Elijah and Caroline are laying in bed. He's awake and sees her still asleep and moves a lock of hair behind her ear and she moves a little in her sleep and he rubs her back and she wakes up and rest her head on his shoulder and looks up at him with a smile and asks, "Were you watching me sleep?" He smiles and says, "Possibly? A Little." She smiles and he grabs her hand and kisses it and wraps her arm around his waist and she says, "In despite of everything we done? All those we lost?" She cups his face and says, "We're still here?" He says nothing and she whispers, "Your not alone." She leans in and kisses him and he responds to the kiss.

*Downstairs-The Living Room*

Klaus is carrying Faye in his arms and looks at a family portrait and then to her and says sternly, "In a better life, would've awaited you a better man then your father. All those who have left me? Have lived to regret it. But I do know this, my littlest wolf? I will do rite by you." He hugs her and then senses Elijah's presence and asks pissed off, "What do you want Elijah?" He walks in the room wearing a suit and says, "I'm not fortunate enough of asking for your forgiveness? So I will say it again, I had no choice! We protect this family at any cost." Klaus turns to him and retorts, "You think I'm not aware of how heavy that burden is?" Elijah shakes his head and says, "No. I think that this time that burden is simply too much to bare." He leaves.

*Upstairs-Klaus's Office*

Freya is working on her early warning system again and sets up the candles on the map and does a locator spell also to find Klaus's enemy's.... She speaks and says to Kol sternly, "Something's not rite." Kol responds and says with a smile, "I thought you put the prophecy to rest?" He continues and asks confused, "So what's the worry?" She responds and says, "I couldn't sleep last night. I just had this feeling of dread. Idk if it's my own guilt or maybe it's my intuition telling me what's coming?" He walks over to her and looks at the map and asks, "And what's this your early warning system?" She nods and says, "This map is built to trace Klaus's enemies. I just hope that I'm being paranoid?" She puts her hands out over the map and chants, "Calaste piso tal tras es tros. Calaste piso tal tras es tros... Kol looks at the map in shock as there's red dots of blood all over the map as she continues chanting, "Calaste piso tal tras es tros. Calaste piso tal tras es tros... The dots move to New Orleans. She looks at the map in shock and Kol responds, "I guess you weren't being paranoid, when in fact there is a whole pack of killers out there to get you?!" She gasps in shock and they both look at each other scared.

*Back in Lafayette Cemetery*

Marcel is standing in the cemetery and looking at Davina's Headstone and sees the place a wreck and Vincent walks in and he comments to their surroundings, "I guess, this was you?" He shakes his head and points at Davina's Headstone and says with a smile, "No. It was her, Davina Claire. She severed the link to the Ancestors. It was the last act that she did." Marcel nods and says, "Then you've done your part. That just leaves me to do mine?" Vincent smiles and retorts, "Are you sure you can?" Marcel responds and says confused and sternly, "Am I sure I can? The whole reason I took the Serum was to have the power to the deal with Mikaelsons!" Vincent responds and says sternly, "Marcel there's a bit difference in having the power and actually using it, to kill somebody? And these people were your family." He nods and says pissed off, "They were my family. Do you even know why I even bothered, pretending like already hadn't take the serum? I needed to see how my family would react! Elijah killed me in a cold blood! So yeah, whatever happens next? They've earned it!" Vincent retorts and asks in disbelief, "Did the people of New Orleans earn it too?" He looks at him confused and Vincent continues, "Cause I've been hearing rumors of vampires just flocking into town! And it looks like to me that your hell bent on setting a war! I need to know what happens to the innocent people when that get caught in the crossfire of that?" He shakes his head and says sternly disappointed in him, "You promised me that you would do the rite thing for the people of this damn city!" Marcel nods and assures him, "That's exactly what I'm going to do!"
