Chapter 4: A Walk on the Wild Side

*New Orleans, Louisiana-The French Quarter, Morning*

Marcel is taking a jog and running over The French Quarter.

*Algiers-Marcel's Loft*

Marcel walks in from his jog and over to the table and grabs a empty bottle of bourbon and sighs, "By all means help urself to the good stuff?" He empties the bottle and two gold buttons fall into his hand and he looks over to his cabinet and sees a black suit with a masquerade mask. His phone starts buzzing and he smiles and answers it and says, "You want to dress me up in nice clothes all you had to do was ask?" Tristan is seating in a limo and responds and says, "I'll keep that in mind in the future Mr. Gerard!" Marcel responds and says, "I thought you were someone else!" He responds and says, "I see Aya, she made quite the impression on you? She is an exquisite beauty. In all fairness of the violence wasn't my idea, had you simply come willing none of that would have been necessary!" Marcel responds and says, "So this is your version of asking me something nicely?" He takes the card out of the jacket and flips it over and sees an address. He responds and says, "It's an invitation. I believe Aya, told you a bit bout the Strix? Who we are? What were capable of? Every few yrs, we gather to celebrate our status as the most elite creatures in the world. Under the rare instance, if we feel like we've identified someone worthy of attention? We open our doors." Marcel responds and asks, "What makes you so sure that I'm interested in you?" He responds and says, "You haven't hung the phone up yet! I understand that you've fostered quite the community here in New Orleans? We could offer you a global network, resources, access, power? Your a born leader Marcel, why stop it at just one city?" Marcel responds and says sternly, "Maybe I'm happy with what I've got!" He responds and says, "Somehow I doubt that! But if I failed to peak your interest? Feel free to discard this call! If on the other hand, you feel you'd be worthy addition to our ranks? Join us? Tonight and don't be late!" He hangs up and Marcel sighs.

*Saint Anne's Church*

Elijah is practicing his boxing skills on a black boxing bag. The bag falls on the floor and Caroline shows up and he looks at her shocked and she asks, "Something the matter Lijah? Is there something you want to talk bout? Like the Strix?" He grabs his water bottle and takes a sip of his drink and she reads the invite she got, 'I do hope you can come old chum, signed by Tristan!' He takes it and reads it as she explains, "I was picking up Faye, when some random vamp dropped it off. Do you care to fill me in?" He walks past her and says sternly, "This isn't your concern!" She grabs him by the arm and retorts, "Oh, but it is!" She flashes them over to the gate and pins him and says pissed off, "Why don't you cut the protective macho crap and tell me what is really going on?! I'm part of this family too Elijah! I thought you of all people would act like it?" He flashes and pins her against the gate and holds her arms with a tight grip and smiles and asks, "So what do you want to know?!"

*The Compound-Klaus's Office*

Freya is seating on the floor in a yoga outfit and Klaus walks in and asks, "What are you doing here?" She looks up at him and remarks, "I live here!" He responds and retorts pissed off, "Yes, obviously... She stands up on the blue mat and stretches as he continues, "I just hadn't realized that you were back from where ever it is you go to when you leave! Perhaps I was thrown off by the lack of strange gentleman callers prosing the contents of my refrigerator?" She smiles as he continues, "My refrigerator this morning!" She smiles and says, "Your concerns for my whereabouts is touching?" He takes a step forward and says sternly, "I'd simply like to know who is here at any given moment? I hardly think that is to much to ask!" She looks over to the doorway as Caroline and Elijah walk in. Caroline responds and says, "Well as long as were taking attendance?" She walks over to them and Elijah follows and Klaus smiles and remarks, "Well if isn't my not so loving big brother and my former one-night stands? What a nice normal family gathering?!" She responds and says, "Charming!" Freya smiles as she continues, "Elijah was just catching me up on, how you have no clue which of your long last buddies you can trust and which is trying to kill you?!" She smiles and he retorts, "And clearly what the situation needs is more opinions! I assume you told her bout the bloody prophecy?!" She turns to Elijah who says sternly, "I was just getting to that... She responds and says, "Now would be great!" Klaus explains and says, "It appears my old mate Lucien has required a genuine seer as an effort to prove his good attentions. He got her to show some rather dire visions of doom. It's grim stuff really not for the faint of heart!" Caroline responds and asks, "Whose doom are we talking bout? Cause if it's yours, then I think were all good with that!" He laughs and admits, "Well sadly, were all on the chopping block... He walks over to her closely and continues, "But chin up, this witch claims her visions are constantly evolving so you might just get your wish!" She smiles and says, "Well I want to meet this psychic witch... She turns to Elijah and says, "Tonight."
