Chapter 17: Behind the Black Horizon

*Mystic Falls, Virginia-Morning-The Woods*

Lucien is holding Freya by the arm and walking with her and Vincent is following behind them and Freya remarks to Lucien with a smile, "After all that flirtation, this is your idea of a first date?" He smiles and laughs and says, "You think of it as date with destiny, my love?" She says nothing and he continues and looks back at Vincent and remarks, "But I do admit threes a crowd. But he's a necessary evil to keep you in check to behave!" They continue and Vincent remarks, "The Ancestors must of lost their damn minds!" Lucien smiles and retorts, "Quite the opposite. I never doubted the savory bunch... He continues and whispers in her ear, "You see when I arrived in New Orleans, I made them a deal. Upon my request they would grant me access to the Regent and in exchange I give them a world without the Originals!" Vincent looks at him shocked as he continues, "It didn't take much convincing. They really do despise your family!" Freya says nothing and as they continue walking and stop at their destination. Lucien sighs and says with a smile, "Ah, Were here!" Vincent walks over to the cauldron and looks around at the rocks circling around them and a stone bowl an the cauldron and retorts, "Yea, but where the hell is here man?" Lucien sighs and scoffs and remarks with a smile, "How disappointing? Two powerful witches who can not sense when your treading on hollow ground?" Vincent looks over to Freya and she figures it out in shock and Lucien smiles and says, "Welcome to Mystic Falls, the place where it all began!"

*Flashback*

Esther Mikaelson uses her magic to turn her Klaus, Elijah, Finn, Kol and Rebekah, into vampires and Mikael into a vampire hunter.

*Back in The Present-Mystic Falls, Virginia-The Woods*

Lucien continues, "Where Esther Mikaelson turned her children into vampires species. With the white oak tree she casted the spell to turn each of her children. And I mean to replicate the spell! I have everything I need to become what I deserve to be!" Vincent nods and says with a smile, "You want to become an Original!" Lucien responds and remarks to him an disbelief, "Do I look like the sort who'd settle for some shorty original model?" Vincent looks at him confused and Lucien looks at Freya and says with a smile, "I intend to be an upgrade!" She responds and says, "Your insane if you think I'd craft any spell for you?!" He smiles and grabs her by the arms and retorts, "No you misunderstand, you see Vincent will handle the spell!" Vincent looks down and nods with a smile and Lucien continues and they take a step forward and says, "From you I need... He holds her hand and cups her face with his other hand and moves a lock of hair behind her ear and continues, "Something a bit more intimate!" He shows his vampire features and bites her wrists and she screams in pain, "Ahhhhh!"

*Back in New Orleans, Morning-St. James Infirmary*

Davina and Kol walk in and see the place empty and he remarks, "It seems your friend Vincent stood us up!" He walks over to the counter and she retorts, "He's not exactly my friend!" He grabs a bottle of bourbon and says to her, "It'd be rude to leave empty handed?" She looks around their surroundings and he walks over to her and says with a smile, "Why not head back to our room, get up to no good?" He starts kissing her neck and she says sternly, "Something's not rite!" She walks past him and he sighs as she continues, "Vincent said were up against a common threat? Now he's missing!" He says nothing as she continues and looks around at the place and says, "St. James is the one place in New Orleans where magic is void. Why a Regent want to meet somewhere where he can't do magic?" He sighs and pours himself a drink. She looks over to a tarot card with a skeleton on it and gets a flashback of him saying, 'Davina I'm trying to warn you!' She gasp in shock and grabs it and the phone, vial of his blood from in the tips bottle and walks back over to Kol and says, "This is his!" Kol puts his glass down and she sits next to him and plays the video on the phone. Vincent says, 'Ik were not on the best of terms, but I need you to listen to me k? Um were in serious trouble. Now I'm recording this here because it's free from Magic! And Magic is our enemy. The Ancestors got me on the hook doing some pretty twisted magic and I want no part of it! But their forcing me to help Lucien Castle!" Kol looks over at the video as Vincent continues, "If you don't help me? Freya Mikaelson is going to die!" Davina looks up at Kol shocked and Kol walks over to her and continues watching the video.
